first make a passionate statement before the audience get applauded and then retract. public will no longer take it this gimmicks any more!!!!!!!!!. Hindusim has become a mockery for politicians
The context is simple - Bhuddadeb has messed up Nandigram and Singur and wants to divert attention of people to something else - what is better than some Hindu bashing and earn a few brownie points of cheap pseudo secular media ?

100% right. hinduism can be bashed endlessely because hindus dont mind these remarks. one such remark against christ or mohammad & we'd have seen a giant tidal wave rising against whomsoever making the remark, a few mullah issuing fatwas etc. movies with disclaimers etc etc.
the commie makes a comment and then the usual tried tested statement that it was taken out of context.
hindus need to really really put their differences aside and come together to save the nation before the congress, pro-terrorist groups, media, and CPI sell the country.

He was referring to the audience (as the context) The comment is not meant for Hindus, stupid..
When he speaks in the Secularist context then he will say something else.
