Tagore's Bhasha o Chhanda is a masterpiece. Buddhadev uses it 'out of context'. In this beautiful poem Tagore differentiates 'Truth from Fact'. Ram is the truth according to Tagore, the tid bits of Ramayana whether fact or not is not important. Tagore in this poem beautifully brings out the birth of 'shloka' from the words of Valmiki, when suddenly broken from his medititation he sees a pair of doves pierced by the arrow of a hunter, writhing n pain. Unable to bear the pain of the birds Valmiki lets out verses which coming from Shok (grief) gives birth to the first verse known in language. Its a shame that Buddhadev a communist and bereft of the beauty of his own heritage and language uses Tagore to make is insidious remark.

good one problm is he doesnt want it to be understand the poem that way but want to gain some cheap publicity and divert the attention of the people from nandigram and the skeoltons that are being dug out from graves. so the best thing he can do is say somthing absurd about hindus and the hindu gods simple. He has really gone mad and needs treatment at this age. poor fellow
Well Ram was real or not may be a marrer of discussion in the same way as flying was a few centuries back. With ourlimited knowledge and information we contemplate.Some evidences have been found and more will unearth as new technologies develop. Till that time Buddu and Karuna will reap rich votes of uneducatede and innocent Muslims and Dravidians who wil be happy with the thought that their leader has done a great favour to them by negatig existence of a sacred God of other community.

thats a imparital view. Its none of my business to worry and discuss about Islam prophet.
Religions are meant to practice for the believer. not for the non believer to discuss or criticise.
One should not become a puppet of this leaders and start abusing other religions, as we dont have the right picture about other ends.
being a hindu, i never read Quran and dont know about what is the real views. I dont believe in the information on NET which is written by some crack minded specially designed to defame not to give the correct picutre.
i know about My religion and thats the topic i should talk about and not about the topic which i dont know. let it be a rule for everybody.

Why do you drive a wedge between Indians? We don't want the North eastern brothers to lose their identity. Concersion to Christianity is not sticking to your culture... As far as Dravids go, jaya and co are a blot on any culture. Rest of them are really a dear lot....

good one guys if we cant move forward then we need to go behind as staying at that paricular place is nor possible for any living thing. Dravidian and Ariyans good one we are just going few thousand years back. keep it up guys soon we will find ourselves in stone age and start living in caves and eat raw meat etc may b we have our laptops with us and even dance to tunes of shakira or some other diva, but mentality will be same stone age people areey sharm karo pseduo modern people of india
Rediff is playing into the hands of the Commie-Christian forces. On rediff blogs section, the archives calendar shows only two days as holidays, other than 15th August and Sundays... One of them is Christmas, 25th December and the other is 1st May, the May day. No Hindu festival is a red letter day for the Rediff big wigs. Shameful, Rediff. Apologize and save some grace.

To your post I would just Like to reply "one moron does a religion make" Just because you you cartoons are unable to fathom the depth of a religion it does not mean that the majority who are at a intelectually higher plane also do not appriciate their great religion. Please note it is only in Hinduism and its scriptures that we see that life originates in the sea and then evolves to the stage where our gods are human, unlike some other religions where they would like us to believe that god said let there be light and there was light. If that god is that powerful why can't he say let there be peace and peace should prevail in our world.

it is the tolerance of Hinduism, that other religion able to survive and co-exist along with the majority. it is not beliving in hinduism, it is unawareness. The parents forgot to educate their childrens with the knowledge of great religion and the great knowledge and principles gone waste.
The animated characters of Religious characters are allowed for childrens to understand the values. But it turned out to becoming other religious people to laugh on. To understand the great knowledge one have to refer to the literatures and vedas. but you are too busy to worry about those, rather than findign time to criticise the system.
Bhuddadeb wants to divert attention of people from his massive mess up in Nandigram and Singur. What better way than some Hindu Bashing and gain cheap popularity of foolish Pseudo secular media and minorities?
first make a passionate statement before the audience get applauded and then retract. public will no longer take it this gimmicks any more!!!!!!!!!. Hindusim has become a mockery for politicians
