It is OK to be an atheist and not believe in God. But, it is not OK to criticise those who believe. If Ram is a figment of a poet's imagination, so be it. There are a number of texts that need to be looked into. Was Adam and Eve, the Garden of Eden, the apple, the snake, also a figment of imagination? Was there a Noah and the Ark? The Old Testament, birth of Moses, Jesus who walked the Red Sea, all false. Was there a Dwarka and Mathura? How about Kurukshetra? Hanuman's portrait on Arjuna's chariot's flag? How come people pray during Ram Navmi all those Matas? Why people get blessed when their prayers are answered? Of course, there are no scientific evidence to miracles. Budhadeb Bhatacharya should relinquish his first name as it is also based on a God incarnate whose following today is spreading around the World. Perhaps, Mr. Bhatacharya never came out of the dark ages!!!!

One thing is for sure. HANUMAN is good for CARTOONS. We ahould appreciate VALMIKI for thinking thousands of years in advance of what WALT DISNEY thought recently.
There is no scientific proof of Lord Ram existence. Also there is no proof of other Bhagwans, Allah, God etc. But there are proofs for example of Jesus, Moahmmed, Govindh Singh, Shivaji, Gandhi etc. So Budhadeb need not worry about his remark.
