The fact that a billion flies like shit does not make shit any better. Your claim boils down to the Muslim claim that just because they are growing faster, they must be the superior religion. Hinduism did not grow in numbers because it doesn't believe in spreading itself through fire and sword, unlike Christianity and Islam. It is only because of their armies that these two violent cults became widespread.

There is already rift between religions.Its a fact. BJP can't do anything.
A Muslim trying to leave Islam is Apostate according to Quran and should be stoned to death. But anybody can convert to Islam-Its not religion , its politics. Islam by nature is political ideology rather than religion.Stop calling it religion. the truth is opposite of your fears. the trouble with us is that we proceed on presuppositions and keep on bearing unnecessary burden. all states ruled by bjp in the last three or four years have seen peace and progress and minorities have been part of it. never before did the country have such harmony in any state.

Much scarier is the thought of the UPA continuing in power at the Center. Ongoing genocide in Bengal, raging inflation (running at 10% although the well-paid media claims it is 3%), the country being sold to the Americans under the so-called nuclear deal, Nepal being taken over by Chinese stooges, etc. At this rate, Nehru's ambition of creating a billion coolies to polish the boots of whites and Chinese will soon be accomplished.

the media plays a large role in distorting and mis-interpreting statements. also, the more they sound controversial, the more they sell ! the media has to keep itself in check, or there'll be a day when the politcians will get together and reign them in. the politicians are just waiting for a chance. and if the media gets too far away, the public will give them no quarters too.

Remember 2004 opinion polls - the silent majority voted the BJP out of power. There is a parallel here. Modi's vibrant Gujarat has left out the majority who have in fact become more impoverished and disempowered. In 2004, BJP's Shining India campaign failed for the same reason. So await counting day and see a "surprise" stored for you.

In politics/election, generally one is required to fight the opponent/his party. But in Gujarat, Modi is required to fight not only his opponents but a powerful media as well, both Print -ex:Times of India and electronic ex:NDTV/IBN/TimesNow. This is nothing short of hitting below the belt!

If you Modi fans think you have the election all wrapped up, why worry?? In 2004, the media was very much in favor of the NDA and yet because majority Indians voted for the UPA, they were swept into power.
