Msdam you are right. But other religions in the world also have similar storise. Hindu religion is one of the best relogion in the world. This religion had fased many up and down in its past and the present one is extract of that. That's why we accomodate all other religion and co-operate them. where as other religion don;t have this. When people do wrong coment or over rule on hindu religion then only hindu opose.Hindu have more SAHISNUTA. When hindu react for his right it become funmentalisun. It is not correct. most of the stories took place centuries ago and the set up was a bit different... so if you look at it from the prism of today you might not completely understand what was going on then. I stay in US and see that it is pretty much the same in the other major religion - christianity... you cant market and package a think like religion because at the end of day it is supposed to give you a good spiritual experience. many of the stories that one reads today are distortions and commentaries. all policitial parties are pretty much same and one has to choose the lesser evil. community or men are same as they are in america or any other land... one just needs to cool off and concentrate on one's own biz...it is a nationn of 1 billion ppl with a democratic setup so obviosly there will be things which are chaotic. finally gods are manifestation of the unknown powers that which are beyond's one's mind. they take many forms but have the same message. what lingam represents - well look at this way, it represents peace. peace of mind. that all your life is shiva's hands and that you dont give a shit about what is going on. draupadi-the other day i read of a adivasi woman in assam being done the same thing. how disgusting was that. in the end, drapadi got the justice. will this woman ever get it? how much more like this are done in even places like US which never gets media coverage? if you read a little bit more and by now you must hav got the other answers too...

i have lived in gujrat only for one and half uear and born and brought up in punjab and studed in delhi. but the great things and pace i have seen in modi's gujrat is un believable. even in delhi the capital under the congress's rule is just peanuts in front of gujrat and leave about punjab. i wish if ii have 100 arms and vote in gujrat i should have voted the number of blood cells in my body for modi. hail modi he is the crusader for gujratis and if modi loses this time then it is a shame for gujrat and gujratis
