Dear Friends, After reading this article, one can see clear biasness of sheela Bhatt. According to her RSS and Modi or RSS V/s Modi are responsible for all problems in Indian society. This article is a best example of corrupt media which has decided to hate modi at any cost. I believe that they are paid huge amount of money to write all these things by opposition. Sheela Bhatt should be asked that whether she would like her childern to grow in developed society that modi is talking about or in society like West Bengal which has been ruined by communist. I sincerely believe that how this lady can sleep at night after making such immoral allegations. Another aspects which this election has tossed up is that even this media does not want India's development at this rate and for them their agenda is supreme over state's development. I really feel sorry for people like sheela Bhatt who will enjoy all comforts but when someone talks about passing these comforts to poor people (development) they raise their voice. I request all the friends who oppose modi that please ask yourself which kind of society you want for your kids; society which is development driven as initiated by Modi or corrupt society established by congress. Development helps every community, if modi gives better water to city, it is for all not for hindus or muslims. If modi gives electricity, it is for all. Please calm down and think rationally. We want people who will think about our next generation. Support Modi

There are extremely SMART journalists in India. They fearlessly expose the truth. They have done it repeatedly about Modi. Doesn't he have any shame to still try and hang on to power. Does he have any moral vaues? The ppl here have all gone quiet. I myself was part of a right-wing Hindu organisation in Gujarat 3 years ago. Not anymore. I know more about the man and his megalomania than even Sheela Bhatt here. But it is refreshing to know that people are at last coming to know the truth about an evil maniac who is extremely ambitious and will go to any undemocratic and autocratic extent to fulfil his lust for power. He is not corrupt for money, but he is the most corrupt when it comes to POWER. He can back-stab even his own brother to hold his chair. The truth is that Advaniji and Vajpaiji are also sick of this proud dictator. But he has become so popular in some Hindu ppl that they have to keep him in the BJP. The BJP is going through a rough patch and he is the only leader who has any reputation(in the form of notoriety) now. So they have him. I know for a fact that once the BJP gets over it's internal strife and becomes united, Modi will be shown the door just like Uma Bharati. Modi himself knows this.

Why our "Fearless" reporters are not exploring the situation in Kashmir and the plight of the Pandits who lived for centuries there....? Where did their "courage" (if they have any) go during the bomb blasts all over India. Where is their "courage" for Afzal being treated with more respect than our PM? Where did their "courage" go when the terrorist attacked in Red Fort is not hanged....? The list is endless. Open your eyes

So Shitla Bhatt has been able to churn out another long rambling piece and this time just on the basis of a letter whose authenticity, by her own admission, can not be confirmed. Does this stop the writer from using the contents of this dubious letter? Of course not, how can she let such an opportunity pass.If it is anti-modi and/or anti-BJP it must be true even if the disgruntled letter writer is just trying further his.her own agenda. Her enthusiasm led her to include some silly points in to the article and presented them as Modi's misdeeds 1. Since 1985, the RSS has been given the idea that the government would favour its agenda in Gujarat but now they think that the Modi government has 'failed' them in pursuing Hindutva causes.(really in 1985???) 2.Why Modi he has put police official D G Vanzara -- an accused in the Soharbuddin case -- in jail? (If this had not been done then Sheela Bhatt, and others of her ilk, would have been the first one to scream at the top of their voice from roof-tops demanding the arrest and imprisonment of the very same D G Vanzara) 3.Swaminarayan temples were raided for non-payment of electricity bills in Vadtal. (If no action had been taken another Sheela Bhatt article, bemoaning lack of action would have been forced on us) So for Narendra Modi, according to Sheela Bhatt gospel, he is damned if he does and he is also damned if he does not.

What exactly is your problem with Narendra Modi trying to hang on to power? After all India is a democracy and any politician, unless barred by constitutional provisions has a right to run and re-run for an office.Incidentally Atal Bihari Vajpayee, despite having been un-cerimoniously booted our of power and also advancing age, still has aspirations to once again become the prime minister of India dreams. Pray do remind us who was the last Indian politician who gave up power due to shame or moral grounds. Of course we all know about the likes of Tarun Tejpal of the Tehelka notourity. These SMART journlist as you put it had been asleep for the past five years but as soon as the election become due they they suddenly come up with their expose. One is justified in smelling a rat here. As for as BJP is concerned Gujarat is matter of prestige for the party as it is the only state in India where the party has won 3 times in a row. Every where else they have been shown the door second time round and the party has always blamed it on anti incumbancey factor. For the party it is better to contest the elections with a tried and tested Narender Modi and have a better chance of winning then pulling the rug from under his feet and possibly loosing the elections.

Dear Friend....even we accept your view and compare it with current picture....you cannot denny that Gujarath has seen great development. For our future generation we need development at this rate. If you talking about modi as person....that he is power corrupt.....let him be as he is using it for development. Jyoti Basu has similar personality but he ruined west bengal. So modi with all his odds is much better than Jyoti basu or similar person. Even our ex-PM Indira Gandhi had similar personality problems but people think we still require PM like her and not like Manmohan who has proved to be really very week jeoparding India's international reputation. I was very happy when manmoham became PM and I though he will carry forward the good work done by NDA regime. But our foreign plicy is totally messed up. Even now with russia we have problems, Iran fiasco, Nepal going close to china, chinese coming closer to Indian border. In brief, I want to say that at some positions you require people like these who have capacity to take tough decisions and Modi is one of them. I request you to forget your personal grievances with Modi and support his development as he has shown us that he can do and is not just talking in air. If Gujarath gets 5-10 more years of Modi, I can assure you that Gujarath can become India's Hongkong. I hope you will think over all the episode more maturely

Well said man, Indian politics is just the dirty game, played by dirty peoples (~99%). We need to rise against this dirty game, but is there any way, NO. Because if someone try this, he will be finished, because only dirty people can enter Indian politics.
RSS has fallen from their grace. Once upon a time, it was a truely service oriented group within the Hindu religion. Their disgrace started when they started using their organisation strength for political purpose and some of the leaders got greedy and supported political parties to get personal prosperity.

You are right many may not be aware !! Do you think every Muslim knows everything about Islam or every Christian knows everything about Christianity. I am not against any religion but against those who spread hatred and believe in divide and rule.
And about the name: I would only say one thing that the word INDIA AND HINDU are corelated and related to the river INDUS (Sindhu, unfortunately it no more in INDIA). You are right in saying that in no holy book the word hindu is mentioned. But what is the point in it. "THOSE WHO FEEL AS HINDU ARE HINDUS"

Hindi started to emerge as Apabhramsha in the 7th century and by the 10 century became stable. Several dialects of Hindi have been used in literature. Braj was the popular literary dialect until it was replaced by khari boli in the 19th century.

According to historians, the origin of Hinduism dates back to 5,000 or more years. The word "Hindu" is derived from the name of River Indus, which flows through northern India. In ancient times the river was called the 'Sindhu', but the Persians who migrated to India called the river 'Hindu', the land 'Hindustan' and its inhabitants 'Hindus'. Thus the religion followed by the Hindus came to be known as 'Hinduism'.
It was earlier believed that the basic tenets of Hinduism were brought to India by the Aryans who invaded the Indus Valley Civilization and settled along the banks of the Indus river about 2000 BC. However, this theory has now been proved to be a flawed one and is considered nothing more than a myth.
According to scholars, the evolution of Hinduism may be divided into three periods: the ancient (6500 BCE-1000 AD), the medieval (1000-1800 AD), and the modern (1800 AD to present). Hinduism is commonly thought to be the oldest religion in the history of human civilization.

Time now for un-sexy story number 5. Fake encounters in Gujarat - 23, yes, twenty-three innocent Muslims were killed and labeled as terrorists. One was a Hindu who converted to Islam to marry the woman he loved. All of them were designated as Lashkar or Jaish terrorists. All that newspapers, magazines and TV news channels had to do was read the absolutely ridiculous and preposterous police charge sheets and the submissions made by the government lawyers in the trial courts. That's all. Again the truth is out there waiting to be reported. Think about it. Modi has never been attacked. Not evenly remotely in terrorist strike. But the people who were allegedly killed for planning to kill him were killed when they were "conspiring" to kill him. Twenty-three people were shot dead for conspiring to kill Modi. No arrests. No detention. No investigation.

Workers working in the agate industries are dying of silicosis in regular interval for last 40 years in Khambhat. Families are wiped out totally. But there is no respite from the death trap of economically impoverished people of this area.
The agate industry, is a household industry in the Khambhat region of Gujarat and its surrounding villages, employs over 30,000 people, many of them are women. The process of agate goes through mining, drying, frying, grinding, polishing Agate stones are made into beads by heating, chipping, grinding, drilling, and polishing them for use in jewelry and other decorative items. Mineral dust, especially silica produced during the stone grinding, causes pneumoconiosis tuberculosis, bronchitis, emplysema, pneumonitis, and other respiratory effects. Mining and cutting of stone produces silica dusts and prolonged exposure causes silicosis among workers. Silicosis (also known as Grinder's disease and Potter's rot) is a form of occupational lung disease caused by inhalation of crystalline silica dust, and is marked by inflammation and scarring in forms of nodular lesions in the upper lobes of the lungs.
