The left is opposing this deal only on ideological grounds - the left is anti US. They are opposing not because the deal could harm India's long term interest.Their decision is not based on what is good or bad for India but based on what is good for their party's survival. So in short comies are selfish towards their ideology even at the cost of India's benefit. The lalus and Pawars and others in the coalition are not with Manmohansingh because they do not have the guts to face an early election now ( in case commies pull the govt down). These coalition partners are selfish too like commies- selfish and greedy for power. Certainly India's interests are not included in their decision making process ( I am neither saying nuclear deal is beneficial for India nor I am against it for the reason that I do not know exact implication of this deal - some of which would become clear only after it is and if it is implemented). I am more concerned about the decision making process of the coalition partners in UPA. None of them have India's interest in mind - though they are taking great pains to make it seem as if they have only India's interest on mind. As for BJP - it does not influence over the outcome of this deal and neither its opinion nor its stand on this issue does not really matter.... so they are doing what any 'opposition' would do - oppose it for the heck of it..then bring out arguements supporting the stand...India Shining ?

Thats the world today. Not only US other countries like China and Russia have also started to follow the same tactics. Many European countries like germanu, UK and france will follow soon. If we have to survive we have to be smart and act accordingly. Its necessary to be engaged and follow an intelligent give and take policy. Business and politics and coming closer so its very essential that decisions are taken with professional acumen on sound advice not according the whims and fancies of a few leaders.

Just because Russia doesn't publicize their might through semi retarded web sites like space daily is not a signal for US prowess. It is losing its might against a minnow'ed Brazil too.
