Reference to Vadodra Riots
by Kajal Sethi on Dec 07, 2007 04:55 AM  Permalink  | Hide replies

This Gandhi(it should be Khan) loving journo refers to Vadodra riots. Does he go into any details? No, Hindus were prepared to move shrines from the middle of the road while Muslims there were not. Hindu shrines were actually moved elsewhere but the Muslim shrines remained causing friction.
As regards to Muslims who have prospered in Gujarat, and who are also members of BJP, why does he NOT refer to them as well.
Oh where are the 4000 Sikhs burnt by SECULAR Congressis and then honouring them with ministerial posts. AND CBI COULD NOT FIND THE WITNESS TO TYTLER's incitement!!

Now why would Opportunistic Hindus kill Sikhs, who have bben defending Indias borders. So it was all a lie. MISTER Jagdish Tytler was NOT involved in inciting. All because CBI could not find the witness.

Let us see which is lie. If Indians were so loving the sikh community for whatever reasons, why did the sikh want Khalistan then? You know the separation movement was before Indira's death.

Onlooker, Khalistan movement was kept alive due to Pakistan's involvement. It took time but once the backbone of its infrastructure within the Indian Punjab was destroyed, the movement got over...I think you are smart enough to understand that. It has nothing to do with love or hatred towards Sikhs within India.

So you agree that you put an end to basically those who resorted to violence as a means to achieve their end. Not by taking your vengence on innocent people from Sikh commnunity. Shouldn't we exactly do the same against the terrorists from Hindu or Muslim or any community for that matter and not as cowards on innocent people who are unguarded?

Did all Sikhs wanted Khalistan?? Indian Sikhs were telling overseas Sikhs to shut up about Khalistan as they have prosperoured in India through hard work. And dont FORGET where Khalistan movement started from? In Southall, UK.

Look onlooker, cowardice was started by Godhra's Muslim mob which continued en mass elsewhere under Modi's administration. I think, one has to be balanced in views and not having a single eyed vision while debating about critical issues. Your thoughts are stuck at a single point agenda anyway, and that's Gujarat riots. It will be hard for anybody to answer your questions.

Absolutely, Pankaj. There were provocations but whatever happened that day, it was a cowardice act on the part of muslims. That was something that happened at the spur of the moment. Still more cowardice was the preplanned one on innocents with that as a pretext. We have to stop everything any provocations, mischiefs and of course retaliations and killings.

Yaar too mujhe sone naheen dega...main puree raat online stuff le kar jagta rahaa hoon...Describing a Muslim attack on a Godhra train in broad day light with terms like "in a spur of moment" is the very tendency that has backfired in Gujarat. There were many like me who didn't like the way violence had taken place under Modi's nose, but they dicided to part with Modi once the kind of softness towards Muslim violence you have mentioned about began pouring in, specially from the so-calle secular segments. Man, keep comparing Muslim violence with Hindu violence by describing terms like "in a spur of moment" etc and Modi will keep smiling with his rhetoric. It's hard to argue with people like you.

Why did the karsevaks made fun of muslims and looted the stalls in the train station? This can't happen in a developed country. I know it is sometimes difficult to make people understand.

What does it say about the mentality of Muslims in Godhra if they gathered in thousands just because some foolish karsevaks had misbehaved with a small bunch of them...and forced the train bogeys into a situation where finally 59 unarmed individuals got burnt alive, including kids, women and elderly. Is that a sign of a great culture? Does democracy and the land of law sanction such violent behavior? Hindus were not known to cause such violence until of course VHP and BJP began to rise on at the national level. Until then only Muslims enjoyed this kind of violent behavior. I have grown up in Ahmedabad's walled city area during the 80s when there was no BJP around, and seen the way Muslim communalism functions. BJP has flourished only in that backdrop.

I'd add this. It's the positive sign of Hindu culture that you see people like Achyut Yagnik speaking up against their own fellow Hindus. I have yet to see that kind of debate taking place within Muslims in India or anywhere else.

I don't want to offend a community but I think Indian muslims lack education compared to others. Their behavior can be easily controlled as long as we don't retaliate hastily and do the right things and build trust and confidence in every communities. I think we should focus on development and these things would vanish soon. Nice discussing with you. Some other time!

Another useless socialist, who wants to keep all people poor...
by anir on Dec 07, 2007 04:38 AM  Permalink

Capitalism works for some people like: talent/skill hard work = more money.

Now natuarally such people get rich.

Now with this the poor also get benefited when these rich ceculate the money.

For socialist, they think all must remain equal and with through that prism always complain about the rich.

Not realising that, without capitalism, the poorer will be even more poor...like in communist contries or like in WB, India.
