WELCOME
by ravi indian on Dec 05, 2007 12:29 PM  Permalink  | Hide replies

I personally welcome this step of Chiranjeevi because today's politics is so dirty that an honest person of this country hate to enter in politics or you may say that there is no place for honest person in politics. And if Chiru is willing to come into politics despite knowing the fact of political compulsion, I appreciate his move. Indian politics in great need of these type of persons these days.

I also support if Rajnikanth of Tamil film industry enter in active politics.

My support is all of them who want to do something better for the society. Chiranjeevi has no need for money and he is joining politics not for money but to serve the society and if any one who is going to do this thing for the society my support will be with them. Whether It is Johny Lever or SHIVAJI.

Ravi
Whatever you have written here is very true.

India is really in great need of non political persons in politics. Because persons like Chiranjeevi are above corruption and they are not needing money for their (swiss) bank balance.

Change should come in the form of CHIRU
by Amarnath M on Dec 05, 2007 12:27 PM  Permalink  | Hide replies

Chiru kept on winning Andhra Pradesh people by his good nature. This is the right time to enter politics and end monopoly of Congress and TDP. He surely shines in the polytics.

Define Monopoly. When you are talking about two, there can't be monopoly.

actor politician?
by l naveen rahul on Dec 05, 2007 12:26 PM  Permalink

When will we be mature enough to differentiate an actor and politician? I thought education might but that was proved wrong with california governor "Arnold"..not ruling out the possibility that some actors might be real leaders but that doesn't make everyone's success formula into Politics through acting or hereditary.Democracy purpose is lost now a days and i hope there comes a Neo-Democracy where politics is considered the most respected and compassioned one.

out of the 90% of indian public are same in one or other way mr.Sharp Critic,
Either mesmerised by Film Actors, Political leaders or the most worst Religious leaders.

But among the above all, the one who are mesmirised by film actors are better, as they dont get involved in killing each other.

It is like modern eras MILK Supply, the water content is 90% and 10% Milk.

One cannot generalize and give a clean chit Mr.GN that film actors dont get involved in killing. Have your forgotten actor Balakrishna? Have you forgotten the killing of a young telugu heroine (pratyusha..)?
People you have mentioned all try to enter politics to gain legitimacy for their actions and acquire immunity from law as they know that 'people will continue to vote for them and protect them'. Chiranjeevi is no better. Pls check up his land deals and his cover up action for his son's rash car driving and the hushed up case, as also the 'master'ly way of finishing off Uday Kiran's film career, just to name a few.
Good luck to you...

Andhra Pradesh: Chiranjeevi entering politics?

Dont take a step back like your role model Rajnikanth did in TN. eventually, the question of Rajni coming to the politics is been dumped.

Another joke on the people????
by sharp critic on Dec 05, 2007 12:17 PM  Permalink  | Hide replies

This is the last thing to happen to the people of AP. It is very unfortunate that people who have had immense publicity and limelight are entering into politics to overcome the pain of being sidlined and outside of arclights. Mr.Chiranjeevi's films may have been termed hits and raked in collections but the fact remains that all his recent shows were remakes and there have been immense number of flops. Obviously, he knows that he cannot and should not compete with his son and nephew in films (not that they are any great)and obviously requires a new profession. Politics is the most sought after field for people who cannot do anything else.
A person entering the fray by being so divisive and caste-based, how is he expected to be different? He may even come to power, which is a different issue, but the people including 'his' people, will continue to remain where they are.
GOD also cannot save us.

He wont stand a chance
by Veeru on Dec 05, 2007 12:13 PM  Permalink  | Hide replies

Chiranjeevi is no NTR to cast a spell on the masses or the classes !! Its a known fact that he is no decision maker and every move is plotted by his brother-in law and thankfully he was advised against entry into politics sensibly so for sa far .However, this caption has been doin the rounds for years now for whatever reasons maybe just to test the mood of the people. Having said that, it is advisable to the veteran actor to restrain himself from the world of politics and stick to the art best known to him rather than losing his hard earned credibility & image. Another point to make is NTR was the only exception of actors to have made big in Andhra Politics because of his exemplary oratory skills, dogged determination and sheer charisma & magentic personality !! May better sense prevail on Chiranjeevi Garu or rather his advisors !!
