...Stop publishing such stupid articles. In the beginning itself, it has been stated that these were Illegal Immigrants. The Gulf has rightly sent them back. They should have thought ten times before bli8ndly jumping on to the Gulf Bandwagon. BARRING OUR STUPID OWN INDIA (OF COURSE), ALL COUNTRIES HAVE STRICT IMMIGRATION POLICIES. Only in India is it possible for people to Come In, Screw It & Vamoose Easily. Dawood is a Classic Example. That's Secularism n Humanity for you.

So according to you people who are whet there are only responsible...... but you fail to realize that these are illiterate construction workers desperate to make there life better by working in Dubai ........... You should have blames the Travel agents who took them in this illegal manner and they are exploited by both company and travel agents
Whenever i travel from Paris to Hyderabad by taking a hop at Dubai as Emirates is my favourate Airlines, always have to experience the delay of 2 hours for collecting my baggage. this is because majority of passengers travelling on Hyderabad bound Emirates airlines are the immigrants returning from Dubai and on an average each passenger is found carrying a Plasma TV, Home theatre system and a Music system. This is because as explained by one of the passengers that; since AP government is sponsoring the travel, the immigrants are left with the additional money that they are using for purchasing electronic goods. As i come our of the airport, there some politicians and family members are receiving them and situation is very emotional. As usual government is involved in another great "Generous" distribution of Tax payers money.
The plight of the returnees from the Gulf is increaseing and Govt says they have formed a NRI cell to rehabilite them.but the plot in the telangana regeion is more as more people are going to gulf to work as construction agents. The people are going to gulf because they are not able to find the job at their home place and cultivation land is also not giving much for thier livelihood. The people should realise that travel agents 80 % of this people are cheaters. And thier aim is make money and offer nothing. The Govt of AP must form some cell inside the hyderabad airport and check the people going aboard on work(mostly a construction workers).By this way we can minize the loss of life and property.

Our country is great only for those with high education, you simple minded people! Where is your brain that allows you a good standard of living when facing issues of poverty? Our country is great only for those in the high tech or finance, that lets them survive the inflation. THose of you who praise this country that has not got an elementary education policy for all, unlike even China(I am NOT an admirer of Communist China), have no business having an opinion on others' problems. If we had put in a good education policy that will cover everyone, instead of just a few, our citizens will not want to leave. I am outside my country and I see its problems more clearly. All of you who have such an inflated idea( that means in Good English unrealistic)about our country's worth, look in to the mirror. YOU are the real problem- because, when you have decided that our country is perfect, you dont have to solve its problems. How nice! Try and realize what hypocrites you all are.

Well Said Fathi our own people cheat us the govt of india has to take stern action against those agents and possible close if find guilty. They need to have proper contracts copies and if possible the govt need to have some surity fo the worker if in case if he is deported for nay reason he need to verified for what he was deported if found no mistale of him he need to be compensated. I have seen with my own eyes how my fellow collegeus suffer they work here like donkeys but the credit is being take by some other on higher postions. Even the Embassy needs to be instructed and ask them to put pressure on the local companies for any such issues like other embassy does.
What ever body does not know and news media will never print is that KCR ( TRS Chief ) is actually biggest agent who is responsible for all this mess.. first arrest him.
RE:KCR is biggest agent
by Fathi on Dec 04, 2007 12:16 PM Permalink
good man, KCR is to be arrested first. and also the politicains form other region(except telangana) are also responsible for the non development of the telengana regoin.which is resulting into the returnees committing sucide.
The Govt is to blame for: 1. Not educating the masses about the risks. 2. For letting the travel agents operate & dupe the poor uneducated, gullible workers.

Why blame the Government? In spite repeated warnings, many from India were/are ready to go to Iraq and make a quick buck.
While the AP Govt is trying to help these deportees by opening the NRI cell, they should handle the agents also appropriately. an't the Govt have check on all those who are travelling to Gulf at least from Hyderabad Airport, verify the credentials and save them even before they leave India, arrest the travel agents who are cheating these poor people? Is it difficult to monitor the movement of the people or the activities of these travel agents?

Dear SR Hari this poor situation is because of police. we expect police to ack firmly but we keep their salaries far low.
thereby they are inclined to take bribe from any one. Note that i am an IIT grad. when i am leaving for UAE, the immigration simply objected based on medical reasons. and he asked "give me some thing" so i naturally gave.
so the fake travel agent will give 1000 per candidate if he is taking 40000 from candidate. and its great business.
please note that no one can frame rules for human psychology. it can only be handled by deep spiritual values adopted by every one. for that it requires culture. we all walked away from such culture and adopted western.
so the issue of jobs came. otherwise it was agriculture which can give jobs to any amount of people at any time.
no job crunch in agriculture. because it was vedically recommended job.
Certainly not the govt. These people are ready to risk everything in life for a job in the Middle East and ready to be kicked around by Arabs. Why not show the same kind of enthusiasm to look out for jobs and work in India?

What to do does india can provide this people with the jobs don't talk with out u know the true picture. Why indians like to live their people and go out to work as India is very expensive imagine 6 UAE dirhams for a litre of petrol so how can he make money that is why they go. India needs more competion and allow china to take over the indian market as we need the local industries to learn a lesson see their price they are soaring on the sky.

Do you all guys think these 45000 people are all fools and you sitting in an a/c room in front of the computer know everthing in this world. Of-course working in gulf pays more money than working in india, otherwise why would anyone sell their own land and go to work there. Grow up guys, sitting in front of the computer doesnot mean you know all the hell of this problems.

Thanks for such good words, Man. Finally somebody who is speaking realistically.I live in great comfort and luxury in the US( and I lived this way in India too) and My heart goes out to those who are poor and illiterate. These people writing here will not care that our farmers are committing suicides, that our women are still being harassed for dowry, that politicians still hold all power, that good education is available only for a lucky few, that getting a well paying job is still a problem in a country with such high inflation.Even those who have high education struggle if they work for the government instead of the private sector. I know personally many people like this. So let us stop blaming the returnees and try to solve this problem.I am so angry about this issue that I have wasted precious time. Now it is good bye!

You are right. Instead of searching for a job in gulf these people should look for work in India itself. I am sure that they will more successful and also they won't be humiliated. Gulf is no more a lucrative area.
The answer is simple "the returns while working in india are not as high as working abroad" and the day to day needs demand more money like education, marriage of children .. .. the list goes on
Its similar to what software is like people go abroad just for money more than anything else

You can not compare these laborers to SW professionals. SW professionals are not cheated by their companies, whereas these people are cheated 99% of the time. These people know that very well. They go to work in the Middle East in spite of this. What they earn in the Middle East is certainly not more than what they can earn in India, if they work hard.

This is a wrong conception. I do not know aboout the wages in AP. But Kerala a construction worker gets anything above Rs.200 a day. However, thousands of malayalees prefer to work in the Gulf for Rs.6000/- or less suffering all these problem to working in their own native state. I feel the government is not taking proper action to control the unscrupulous agents who trap these people.
