I remember one imam asked the voters to vote for BJP. i think his name is also Imam Bukhari. This may be a trick. Taslima matter is now receding. Some people who dont want this case to calm down making all sorts of efforts to keep it alive. so that he tension reamains till election. we know taslima is in india for more than 6 months. why suddenly this matter surfaces. God knows better. Wait and see. as you said get a popcorn coke and watch the fun. i am sure after election is over the fun will subside
Throw the Immam Bukhari first from India. This is not muslim country to dictate others. Bukhari must understand that Our president is not Musharaf. OK? ???

I agree, why should the media indulge in scare mongering. The Imam is a priest of Jama Masjid and his proclamations cover those who go to the Jama Masjid for prayers. The media is making him out to be a spokesperson of all the Muslims in this country. If that be so then why has he not been made a President of this country by the Congress. Why can't this self appointed Imam speak out for the Indian community in Malaysia. Don't the Indian Muslims there suffer the same treatment as other Indians. Why can't he proscribe MF Hussain for his insulting paintings. The double standards are apalling.

Then go along with Shahi Imam out of this country. If INDIA used to raise it's concern over the countryman living in malaysia then we are taught not to interfear in the inner matter of that muslim dominated country. Mind Mr Javed this is not a mulim country, the rules and regulations of this country are not governed by Shahi Imam dimam. I would really feel shame if our government will bow down in front of such kind of foolish demand of Shahi Imam or some foolish fundamentalist. She is a guest of this country and we got a long tradition of protecting our guest. We should give her total support, she should be made free to live here untill she likes.

Nobody has given the mandate to Shahi Imam to speak on behalf of Muslims in India. Did he consult anyone before uttering? Most of the Muslim clerics have buried the issue, Shahi Imam and Rediff should mpve ahead.
Is he the president of India?If the Indian muslims cannot tolerate Taslima why dont they leave India and go to the pro Islamic countries??That will really make India a better place to stay..

We would rather have a Bangladeshi citizen with us who shares our values than Indian citizens who do not share our secular values . These people who do not believe in our constitution irrespective of their religion must be declared enemy combatants and sent to our equivalent of Guantanamo bay.
