Mochi dispute
by AB SUNDAR on Dec 01, 2007 05:35 PM  Permalink  | Hide replies

So many tamil films make fun of brahmins in a most derogatory way including making fun of their customs and traditions in the garb of free expression .If these sort of protests call for an amendment of laws it should be done.

If Tamil films are making derogatory comments on Brahmins, that is bad and they should be punished.

Politics in everything......
by umesh kumar agrawal on Dec 01, 2007 05:35 PM  Permalink  | Hide replies

These politicians are creating issues on the based of religion and caste to add votes to the vote banks.

They have nothing to do with a particular caste and religion, let it be any party.

They are now interested in pulling legs of each other, dharnas , bandhs...etc. all theactivities which are hinderance in development of the society as a whole.

These uneducated power hungry politicians are ruining the country.

Mr Sammer.....instead of uniting Hinduism you are telling people to convert.
Casteism was due to vested interest of some people....and rememedial steps like reservation have been taken.
Buddists are themselves a divided lot

Dr.B R Ambedkar did recommended the period of reservation. It was only for 10 years. Why the reservation concept kept on increasing.

how many converted to Budhism, compleately leaving Hinduism. Once you accept Dr. B R ambedkar principles, you have to convert to Budhism and you wont be anymore be called Schedule Caste?
Arrey bhai , phir reservation kaisa milega?

As long as u are not converting into Islam/Xtianity, its fine :)-

Ambedkar was a learned man, and though he could have made tons of money were he to convert to Islam/Xtianity, he chose an Indic faith.

BY THE WAY, BUDDHISM IS NOT MUCH DIFFERENT FROM BRAHMINISM:)-

BUDDHA NEVER DISOWNED VARNA.

BUDDHA SAID, ONE'S VARNA DEPENDS ON ONE'S KARMA!

Shree Budha logic is very true.
Ones Varna depends on ones karma.
(same as bhagawat Geeta)

Human being can only be differentiated with his deeds (karma). ofcourse it is not meant with the trade what he do to earn his livelihood.

The karma can be doing something good for human race or doing something against the human race

British Did One Good Thing
by DALIT RAJA on Dec 01, 2007 05:27 PM  Permalink  | Hide replies

Birth-based Caste system is 3000 years old. British did not create it. In fact, after the British came caste system started weakening.

Without the British Rule the conditions would have been worse.

What proof you have its 3000 years old?

Bhakti Movement started in Southern India sometime in 7th century. Long before advent of Islam, or Brits.

Wish you idiots start reading Indian history. Play les politics.

be precise it is 3102 BC (start of Kaliyug)
but the seeds of it started getting into our culture long before that.
Ref. Ramayana - Shabri been not allowed to come near lord Ram. Ram Says to the brahmins, I dont know caste, i know only human beings. keep your castes with yourself. The message to eradicate caste was there from that era.
That period, brahmins did not gave a ear to it. Today the Political leaders dont want to hear it.
