Yes , he should thank BJP for developing relations with WEST, which Congress wants to capitalize.

But it is unfortunate that all the hard work of Atalji is being washed by Advani. He is opposing the agreement, this way or that way.

Hypocrisy of the left
by on Aug 31, 2007 12:59 PM  Permalink  | Hide replies

If the left hate USA ,then why do their leaders travel in Boeing planes made in USA,use microsoft programmes on their computers and drink pepsi water bottles. They should come out of this frog in the well mindset and see globalisation as a reality and see how outsourcing business with USA has created so many jobs in India and contribute about 50% of service tax paid to the government by our software companies.China a communist country, is more americanised than USA itself. The left should change their hypocristic attitude.

3rd china is not americanised rather did you know that almost 90% of US computers are made and assembled in china and taiwan..did you now about global supremacy of chineese product like home sationaries etc..
3rd communist parties have their own manifesto..who are you to tell them what is to do ?
4th it jobs are not solutions for all..these it workers are nothing but some highly paid useless fools who used to do cut copy and paste 24 hrs in a day...nothing good for the nation...
5th if one use microsoft computers, is that mean he/she don't have right to protest..? remember we buy the things from them and if they stopped selling those stuff to us they are going to extinct...
6th i think your mind is fool of some junk ideas that commies are this or commies are that.and so on...i am sure you did not understand a single bit of communism..look at the latin american country and in some places in europe too..

American Lobby & Left
by Kalyan Kumar on Aug 31, 2007 12:54 PM  Permalink  | Hide replies

I read a political commentary on India in a foreign journal, which says the Indian Left is facing an Identity crisis by having to support the Americal lobby dominated UPA starting with Sonia Gandhi, Mamohan Singh, P. Chidambaram. The ouster of Natwar Singh from external affairs was cited as the might of the American lobby in the government. Left is uneasy as a like a monkey caught with genitals caught in a cleft. There is an American lobby in the left also. They wil bail out UPA from any crisis. You can see it happening right now.

Well said dude, see what the biman Bose said today. This time some bangali top communists are doing good job in comparision to their Kerala counterparts. I am pasting the news from Times of India.
"Bose, however, struck a completely different note. He told state committee members there was no reason to worry about snap polls and that the politburo was only keeping a watch on the situation. Off the record, CPM's Bengal stalwarts who've kept the party flag flying in the state for 30 years spewed venom on Prakash Karat's hardline. One senior central committee member and MP, who spoke on condition of anonymity to TOI, called Karat's pullout threat a "Talibani stand". His words: "It's (withdrawal of support) a demand being placed from sections of the CPM Talibans in Delhi."

DEBATE IN PARLIAMENT
by ROHIT SHENOY on Aug 31, 2007 12:53 PM  Permalink  | Hide replies

JUST LIKE US CONGRESS & SENATE HAVE DEBATED VOTED ( IN FAVOR !!!) OF N DEAL WITH INDIA, THE RULING PARTY SHOULD INTRODUCE N DEAL DEBATE IN THE PARLIAMENT WITHOUT FURTHER DELAY.

THE N DEAL HAS TO BE APPROVED BY OUR PARLIAMENT ALSO.

N DEAL IS NOT A PRIVATE MATTER, WHICH ONLY CONGRESS & CPM HAVE RIGHT TO DECIDE, BUT THE PARLIAMENT

PM Dr. Singh is taking correct steps towards making India energy sufficient country by 2015/20. These lefts and other political parties are talking about Development / Growth etc..See the actual energy requirements now and also for near future. Everybody talking about FDI and other Industrialisation and Jobs etc.....whatever the sources of power we have now are no where sufficient atleast for the current requirements....thats why PM is qhite committed towards this agreement...support him..keep away all stupid political games..

The first Nuclear Reactor in the Republic of India at Tarappur
by Buggs Bunney on Aug 31, 2007 12:42 PM  Permalink  | Hide replies

was built free of cost by the USA.

Americans are the discoverers fission, fusion & inventors of Nuclear Reactors. Made in USA GE and Westinghouse reactors are of the highest quality unlike Russian Ivan-Ivanov reactors that blow up weekly as in Chernobyl or Chinese Pong-Wong reactors made of plastic.

do NOT forget that america/european union/japan/taiwan/korea are the largest investors in the republic of india (not chiona & russia), this can be reversed anytime. you see the squeeze that was put on cuba, sudan, iraq, north korea and now on iran ?

being closer with america/europe capitalism after 1990 was much more useful as the economy grew by 9% and poverty level declined to 26%, unlike the nehruvian/soviet socialist alliance growth rate of 1.2% and poverty level of 50%.

it would be very unfortunate if domestic political wranglings and tussles (without a clue as to how the international economy works), sent the economy spiralling downward into the dumps

I agree to the deal in the friendship but do not think that everything should be done in pressure or being suspicious. India has never gone against America and that should be appreciatd too.

The question is not that Americans are this or that. the question at present is that they have come forward for freindship and India should accept it the same way it did the Russian friendship.

dont be always suspicious of good intentions. America doesnt need any help from anyone with such a mighty alliance like NATO and the American-Japan-Korean-Taiwan pact in place.

if another Nehroovian blunder is done like in 1950s-60s, you have only your politicians to blame, not the rest of the world.

See. As I said when the friendship is done, it is just done for good. I think that is what Mr Bush and Mr Singh have in mind. That is why deal should be done. They both love their own countries and must have given a lot of thought before going ahead.
