Peace is not a cake piece to be procured and swalon in a one go. Every Kashmiri want a peaceful life and cherish for it. But where do it come. A million dollar question is as who will bring peace in the Valley? The crime graphs has gone very high and the glaring example of it is recently kidnapped, raped and then killed innocent children. World famous Kashmir known as Paradise on earth has turned hell on earth. The death is dancing in every nook and corner of the Vale. People thrashed and subjected to inhuman third degree torture. Innocent children raped, women wailing over the custodial deaths. Properties burnt and what not, the list is endless. The vale is passing through the difficult phase of its life.

Srinagar has changed as highlited by rediffmail.com
by Press Bureau on Aug 30, 2007 05:51 PM  Permalink

Hi there,
I have gone through the topic Srinagar changed. But it appears the facts have not been unvieled. The ground situation has not been assessed. The fear and the scare is continously there in the masses and whenever any untoward incident occures, the geneal masses are being caught and beaten. So it means the ground situation is as it was in 1989. I advise you to first assess the situation and then report.

Regards

I agree with you, but almost majority of Muslims are converts there. One addition, Lion does not bother for the herd of sheeps/deers, he hunts, as such your worry is useless.

If normalcy returns, Hindus can go back. Otherwise there is no end to it. In fact your message sounds like a Hindu fanatic not very different from Muslim fanatic. This attitude will only lead to more fighting.

Love kills hatred
by Anurag Shrivastava on Aug 30, 2007 05:25 PM  Permalink  | Hide replies

The best way to kill terror in Kashmir is to make people prosperous - ensure that every penny that goes to the valley is spent in educating people and doing projects that provides meaningful employment. When Kashmiris get good education - they would have no choice but to go to Bombay or Bangalore to work which will improve bonding with the country. Simultaneously adopt a ruthless approach in guarding the India-Pakistan border by building fences , putting mines and shoot to kill anyone trying to cross illegally. The army should move out of cities and to the borders. The intelligence agencies should buy up key influencer's in Kashmir with whatever money it takes . The media should put them up on TV every day so that they spend their time talking and watching themselves on TV rather than plot political strategies. The best way to kill a Jehadi is to make him fat and drunk.

And I think this is what is happening ....

Kashmir is an integral part of India
by Mayank Sharma on Aug 30, 2007 05:19 PM  Permalink

Kasmiri's should be encouraged to come and join stock markets, mutual funds and other financial opportunities. If they taste the magic of this business they will never try to go away. They would love to be a true Indian. It is failure at the end fo govt that we don't have proper railway network in velly till yet.

Above all Kasmiri should be open for other indians like delhi, lucknow, bhopal or amritsar. Why can't an india go and buy a property there?
