What is needed is an understanding about the 'insecurities' that is driving the people of Kashmir towards hatred. An honest assessment and action would perhaps be welcome at this stage.
Our Honourable Great Government should immediately amend/cancel that sticky law or resolution, whatever has been passed in the past, which prevents other Indian citizens(except Kashmiris) to buy property and/or to permanently settle down there. Fill that beautiful Kashmir with lots of Hindus, Sikhs, Christians and Muslims (from other parts of India too) and then let us see who prevents these people from staying there. Start big hotels, chain restaurants and fast food outlets, like the famous US Brands which are doing fantastic business in different parts of India. Open big malls, supermarkets and let Srinagar be like any other city of India. Let it be a clear message to the disruptive and destructive elements and forces working against the country, that we are not going to bow down to their dirty COWARD tactics and pressures. When Jammu and Kashmir are an integral part of India, why can't other Indians(apart from Kashmiris) settle down there as permanent residents, just as we have done in Kulu Manali, Simla, Ooty, Kodaikanal etc. Nothing doing, enough is enough. We urgently need the rule of the whip for these antinational forces, who have taken our country and its POLITE legal system for granted.

Regional insecurities are rampant in every nook and corner of S. Asia. e.g. Sindhi, Tamil, Marathi, Hindi ( Bihari etc..) etc. Why blame only Kashmir?
