One good thing, people are seeing the face of fanatic people, with whom congress claims to be secular/non aligned is siding. Of course, back gear to energy growth/development, but in democratic set up, one is to bear.We voter has no say before parliamentary elections.

In one way what the agitated MPs are contemplating is right...in the sense..what Ronen did is like talking ill about own family with ousiders.. whatever differences we have in our family, that should be within ourselves..we should not put down our own country and its soverignity outside....Sen should have maintained the protocol and dignity when he went to press. (ofcourse, he had not said anything new about our elected r.. a.. s.. .c. a.. l.. s.., we all know whether they have head/brain or not

Nuclear Deal
by my message on Aug 30, 2007 05:21 PM  Permalink  | Hide replies

Ultimately the Congress has shown that it is gutless and can certainly be blackmailed and the PM is tough only in his press statements. Otherwise he is a looser.

Mr. Tinku Baidya,

In your divine wisdom your utterances make you entitled to be in the gines book of records.

For godsake Read what the PM said:
1 "The United States has a longstanding policy of not supplying to any country enrichment, reprocessing and heavy water production facilities."Wrong. The Hyde Act%u2019s Explanatory Statement itself notes that cooperation in the areas of uranium enrichment, reprocessing of spent fuel and heavy water production "is not restricted" under the Atomic Energy Act, "but agreements for cooperation must specify if such cooperation is to take place".It also notes that the 123 agreement with Australia specifically allows for such cooperation. 2 "There is no provision that states that US cooperation with India will be subject to an annual certification process."Wrong. In the Hyde Act it is explicitly mandated that the President has to send his annual "assessment" to Congress on whether "India is in full compliance" with its various US-imposed "commitments and obligations," including on Iran, and whether the "activities and programmes funded under" the legislation "are achieving the goals."3"There is nothing in the Agreement that would tie the hands of a future Government or legally constrain its options to protect India%u2019s security and defence needs."Wrong. A test prohibition against India has been methodically built into its provisions through the incorporation of the US "right to return". Besides the test ban, the US Congress has so

What a shame that Congress has succumbed to the CPM!! They are Chinese stooges in India, all know that. Politicians have no guts to face the electrorate. Congress should have dared the Left. Now they will gun for the PM.

mating dance of commies and cons
by Sanjeev Sharma on Aug 30, 2007 05:13 PM  Permalink

so folks, those of you who thought Left is so beholden to China are right are true afterall. Leftists will lose all influence if the government falls, that would mean that China will have no one to speak for them in case they need visa for a few thousand chinese.

The drama that is declared to be the end of honeymoon is just another sequence in the highly choeographed mating dance of anti-nationals.

Fallen into Trap
by Anand N on Aug 30, 2007 05:06 PM  Permalink

Who is heading the government now? Is it Congress or Left? Left is dictating terms and Congress is simply following it. In fact DMK has a major role in this as they don't want to lose power at the center now.

They know they will lose if there is an election. Also left is doing badly in Kerala and they may not get enough votes.
