Govt. Blinks 123 Agreement
by Unni on Aug 30, 2007 06:06 PM  Permalink

It seems atleast Congress the leading partner is not in a mood to let go; not because they want to go with the 123 AGREEMENT; their Election advisors might have told them that they are going to gain if left withdraws support and goes for a snap poll on the issue. The result will be another draconian party instead of left will become king maker and such kichdi will go on endlessly.

yeah I agree but one thing is there...the congress loves power so it doesn't really care about the nuclear deal anyways.

If it really cared about the country it would have called the left's bluff and gone ahead with the nuclear deal.

whatever

Chankaya,

Whatever Ronen did in U.S. was on the behest of Congress, who never had the guts to open their mouth last week as they were given shiver till their feet by Communists. Whatever Congress wanted to convey, had conveyed through Ronen, sign of impotency.

Don't blame a diplomat. They are the people who actually do the ground work for these incompetent politicians who cannot properly talk without their direction.

Mr. Bond,

The Ambassador is sworn an oath to represent the country as a whole, not the Congress party. Why did the Ambassador act like a party poodle? Is Ronen an idiot?

Ronen must be blamed for the undiplomatic and tasteless comments he made about the representatives of people of India. He must be fired!

If we ignore CPM is this deal helpful?
by andrew smith on Aug 30, 2007 05:37 PM  Permalink  | Hide replies

This deal is in existence only because America is involved.Any other country should have started the deal it a total failure.

They dont bother CPM or Congress. They dont know them.Big example is there is no fighting between pakistanis and Indians or Asians in these countries!!!!! For a western just by seeing a person they assume it as either pakistanis or Indian or bangladesi.I bet you if any one goes to europe they wont be able to tell pakistani or Indian.

Congress and Left
by James Bond on Aug 30, 2007 05:36 PM  Permalink

This marriage is done out of convenience. In the state, they spit venom on each others. But, to enjoy fruits of power, they both are allies in centre. Congress is like an old ox pulling the cart and Left is sitting on the cart wipping Congress from time to time. Congress is bearing pain as they have the opportunity now to enjoy fruits of power. Congress can do anything to gain power. They have called the terrorists(muslims) as secular and Hindus(communists). God bless them.

Left

One good thing, people are seeing the face of fanatic people, with whom congress claims to be secular/non aligned is siding. Of course, back gear to energy growth/development, but in democratic set up, one is to bear.We voter has no say before parliamentary elections.
