Stupid article
by K K on Aug 31, 2007 08:27 PM  Permalink  | Hide replies

BJP was always in favour of a nuclear pact with USA. In fact, the NDA govt had initiated the talks with US in this regard. But this stupid article seems to present that BJP was not in favour of a pact with US and changed course and now supports a pact. That is absolutely false! The fact is that the BJP started talks with the US for a nuclear pact and always supported a nuclear pact. Its oppositions is to certain clauses and adverse impact of the pact...and that is absolutely justified.

India needs a nuclear pact with the US. But it is a shame that the congress govt could not negotiate a better deal with the US and exposes the incompetence of this govt.

Supporting Gov is not opposition's responsibility
by Lucky B on Aug 31, 2007 07:18 PM  Permalink

Congress is in government, and government run by majority. If government can not sign a deal by its own than clearly that government do not have people's mandate and must go.

Communists are traitor....For the sake of Bangladeshi votes they are not resolving the issue ok Chakma refugees from East bengal. These ppl enter into india thru bengal border and communists provide them with ration cards voter id cards just for vote bank politics. They fail to realise that these East Bengalis pose a serious threat to integrity of India. Never have we heard abt Bangladeshi terrorism but now we are hearing that. The cradit goes to traitor communists (Jyoti basu). What can be expected of him, he himself is a BANGAL (Bangladesi) after all..... LOL

Mr. Advani's comment came just before the previous General Elections 2004.

News: When India plays Australia, we can't be sure of the result. But when Australia plays Bangladesh, everybody knows the result beforehand. Everyone knows the NDA will win the elections and Vajpayee will be the PM." said L.K. Advani (March 13, 2004).

Comment: Well, everybody has known that Advani had been playing with the Bangla team against Australia. He himself recognised this after the Elections.

Advani's Latest Comment

News: Mid-term Elections Any time now (23rd August 2007).

Comment: All rebal candidates must be ready at once.

Political Drama - Analysis
by Neutral on Aug 31, 2007 10:20 AM  Permalink  | Hide replies

Left parties are known to bark, but do not bite.
Congress took them lightly & went for the deal.
Had they taken BJP into confidence & discussed with them earlier, there is no doubt that BJP would have supported.
RESULT: It would give a good impression to both Congress & BJP for successfully signing the deal. Congress didnt want good name to go to BJP

So, they thought that Left, as usual, will oppose intially, but not let down the govt. But, Lefts were taking it seriously & BJP also opposed the deal externally (even though they are for the deal).
Bcos, if things goes fine Congress would earn good name, which BJP didnt want.
So, they were watching silently how Lefts were barking & when the situation came that Left went to the extent of withdrawing support, BJP pitched in & came in support of Congress.
Its bcos, if mid term polls are to come Congress would gain Sympathy votes. Mid term poll at the current moment is not good for BJP.

Ultimately everything that is happening for couple of weeks is a political drama. Only one good result of this drama is that we come to know the real face of Left & they would loose a lot in future.!!!

BJP started the NUke deal. Jaswanth singh discussed with Talbort for 2 years to get the deal on to the table. Congress reaping the fruits of BJP's hardwork.

BJP is clever & patriotic.
A opposition party sholud oppose the deal for some time so that at least the govt tries to get some more things in favour of India.

BJP is against certain clauses in the deal that stipulated that India has to get permission from USA before conducting any nuclear test in the future. Thus, China and Pakistan can test and refine their nuclear arsenal but India will be waiting like a duck begging for permission from USA to refine its nuclear arsenal. That is the bad clause in the deal which the congress govt could not properly negotiate with the US.

Commies lack logic
by on Aug 31, 2007 10:12 AM  Permalink

Our commie friend Yechury seems to think that the Hyd blasts happened because the security arrangements at Lumbini park(where one of the blast happened) are with a private agency. Well, in that case, what about the blast at the Gokul chat. I'm sure the private agencies dont man the streets of Hyd, neither is our intelligence in private hands. And what about the Parliament attack of 2003? Is the Parliament sercurity privatised??? NO, No, NO....The problem with you, Mr. Yechury, is that you are anti-privatisation and anti-development. Unfortunately, we have no choice but to bear with people like you for as long as you keep winning in Bengal and Kerala.
