Give us a break!
by on Aug 29, 2007 06:51 PM  Permalink  | Hide replies

Mr.Nanjappa,

Are you a correspondent who is visiting Hyderabad or are you a resident? Well, either ways, you are not entitled to such controversial , absurdly bold statements on such a public forum as rediff.

Quoting facts is one thing and listing contemplations is another. To start with, I don't see the purpose of such a write-up. What was the purpose , can you please explain?

Hyderabad and its people pride themselves for their broad cosmopolitan outlook, much beyond the communal violence and the so-called "Hindu Rule" that you report about in the article which anyway is all spurious. So why talk about things that you know, will in no way contribute to any goodness in the society and which is anyways all false?

As sincere readers of rediff, we would all appreciate if rediff reaches out to Indians to promote and harbor peace in society instead of publishing controversial write-ups such as these whose main intent seems to be filling up the pages and a headline at that !!

Thanks !

I agree. Instead of talking about the problems anyone has to give meaning full solution which will eliminate the root cause of the problem.

Yes, I agree!

I dont really see anything reasonable in Mr.Nanjappa's Writeup. Im a citizen of hyderabad, I dont really see any special reason for the Attack on Hyderabad. We all know Hyderabad is a cosmopolitan city and is growing very fast. The simplest reason for the attacks would be a the arrest of D Company guys two days prior to the blasts.

But I strongly agree the intelligence is not upto the mark. (They dont even know where the mark is!)!

It is not only Hyderabad Guys! The attack is on the Entire Country itself!

Why is it that some 'terrorist' attack occurs whenever ordinary ppl join hands against the New Roman Empire aka USA?

1. 'Varanasi' happenned when there was mass protest against Bush visit to India..
2. Now 'Hyderabad' when we opposed the enslavement of our Nuclear reactors by USA
...

When will you open your eyes? This globalisation is just a Capitalist paradise for the USA and its junior partners!

Fundoo reasoning!
by Amjad Baig on Aug 29, 2007 06:45 PM  Permalink  | Hide replies

What a logical conclusion -

Seeds were planted in 1948 by Mr. Rizvi. Took almost 50 years for a plant to appear (Lashkar) and now finally people are working towards liberating Hyderabad!!! Height of conspiracy theory.

Hyderabad has been one of the epitomes of Indian diversity. Yes, there have been sporadic incidents of communal clashes. But they were due to impulsive nature of few members of both communities.

What we are witnessing is a global madness. Whatever may be the cause, blasting innocent people is horrendous. We, as peace loving Indians, can never accept such behavior. Instead of pointing fingers at each other, which is very easy to do, we should work together to isolate such aberrations from among us.

Unity in Diversity has been THE strength of us. Let ACTIONS of these mad people NOT spoil it.

Hi Amjad,

I'm happy to see such sensible post on this board. However, rather than just words, can people who think like us come together and seriously do something to enable the isolation of aberrations?
I am very hurt and angered by the blasts. I agree that we Indians are peace loving but strongly feel that it's high time we stop offering peace to our enemies and crush them with iron fist. It's much better to lose life ffighting the anti-social elements than losing it watching a laser show or eating chat.
Regards,
Suraj

B'ze here ruling cong. government, especially in AP Govt. if the police arrests any persons whom linked with terrorist activities, A.P. Govt. minister release them immediately b'ze they need minority votes.

Even Osam or Dawood did't move freely in Pak & Afghanistan but if they are in Hyderabad they can move freely. Pakistan Govt. fight against the terrorist in Lal mazid, if its happened in Hyderabad, here Govt. release them proudly, b'ze they need minority votes.

Wake up Congress
by Jitesh Kumar Agrawal on Aug 29, 2007 06:44 PM  Permalink

The CM says its because of the growth of HYD....so he says that if the city grows it will be bombed and innocents have to loose life and the govt will not do anything....let those b*stards bomb that city back to 18th century and then congress then claim how peaceful it is.

CM is right in his justification....have you ever heard of bombs going off in Bihar. Now the blame game and passing of responsibility to other have started....ITS NOTHING BUT THE RESULTS OF MINORITY APPEASEMENT AND GOING SOFT ON TERROR AS THEY KNOW THIS LAME GOVT CANT DO ANYTHING TO THEM OR ELSE THEY LOOSE THE VOTE BANK

please look around and observe. In hyderabd and for that matter ,all over india ,muslim motor mechanics, watch repairers, techncians are one of the best in india and they are one of the best. in old city of hyderabd many poor muslim live with many mouths to feed . do you think pakis are interested in the welfare of these people? ISI is exploiting their poverty by luring these people in the name of jihad. some militants have even disclosed in narco analysis as per TV reports, since indian muslims are not cooperating ,paki and bangla deshi muslims are entering india and directly indulging in terror activities to ruin india economically. Its high time people with terror links should be informed to police.

Don't say it, my dear Siddiqui. Without the internal support from the local Muslims, terrorists cannot attack. I need not reel out the names, for it is a matter of public knowledge that hundreds of Indian Muslims have been found guilty, and also sentenced by courts. If you can deny this, I will be too happy.

You are absolutely right. So far as Hyderabad is concerned, the poverty among the muslims of old city which is attracting them towards terrorist activities is the root cause.

This is a very superficial inference, trying to gloss over the severity and wide ramifications of the problem. There are poor in the Hindus and Christians also. Many educated and rich Muslims are perpetrators, sponsors, abettors or supporters of the terrorist activities. Agreeing to your observation hypothetically, are the rich and educated in the Muslims then opposing terrorism in adequate number? And does Islam preach that the poor people should sell their souls?

Terrorism
by Sridharachary kandala on Aug 29, 2007 06:42 PM  Permalink

Day before, Aksharadham, Yesterday, Bombay, today, Hyderabad and on every day J&K. This is the fate of India. Dont we know that this is the same scenario all over the world including with the big gaints like US and UK ! What is the root cause ? The mania of fundamentalism. Not only Hyderabad, no part on earth can sleep peacefully unless and until the terrorisam is put to stop. These are the hours for all of us to stand united and fight against the blood shed instead of playing blame game for any one's political gains. May peace prevail for ever.

It's part of Islamic imperialism
by Atreya Sarma Uppaluri on Aug 29, 2007 06:37 PM  Permalink  | Hide replies

The claim that Hyderabad has grown ten-fold during the last couple of years is a mega-hyperbole. If that be the case, the population of the city must have shot up from about 40 lacs to 4 crore! However, it is a stark and unpalatable reality that the terrorist attacks and the organised mass attacks on Hindus are a progressing expression of the trans-territorial Islamic imperialism. The imperialistic designs are encouraged further and further by the leniency and forget-and-forgive attitude of successive governments, which in their apologetic bid to look "politically correct," do not venture to go beyond cosmetic treatment of the monstrous and potentially secessionist problem. Their chronic myopia prevents them from looking far into the future territorial integrity of the country.

You are totally sidetracking the issue, and jumping onto a different topic; and trying to see a link between two unrelated things, but without any due elaboration or illustration. Anyway, if they harbour so much hatred for the USA, why do they still go only to 'capitalistic' countries for higher education and in search of greener pastures, and not elsewhere? Having still gone there, and spewing venom on them, is the hypocrisy of the superlative order.
