AMBASSADOR TO THE US ENJOYS CABINET MINISTER RANK: UN-DIPLOMATIC DIPLOMAT
by Kabeer on Aug 30, 2007 01:05 PM  Permalink

It is surprising that a top-ranked diplomat can be so undiplomatic in his speech! I don't know now but India's Ambassador to the US enjoys Union Cabinet Minister's rank! This rank was in the past had actually created protocol issues. Technically, Ambassador to the US is supposed to report to the Foreign Secretary but that position's assigned Cabinet Rank created some blushes both to the Ambassador and the Foreign Secretary. Of course, Ambassadors to the US in the past were high profile distinguished people like Nani Palkhivala, Abid Hussain and not necessarily career diplomats. Those positions were almost always handpicked by the PM himself/herself.

Given that stature it is astonishing that Mr.Ronen Sen blew his mouth out in such undiplomatic carelesseness a trait actually should worry the Govt., about the wisdom in posting him there (whatever, he said was probably and possibly is true, but diplomats are not suppposed to be vulnerable to such indiscretions!)

Foreing Minister pulling his Ambassador to the US up and the Ambassador offering unqualified apologies to the both houses of Parliament and his lack of honesty in attributing to the media stating that they distorted his remarks an entirely disgraceful and forgettable episode!
Shameful!

Headless chickens.

Our parliamentarians cannot possible understand the 123 agreement, agreed for their inexperience in dealing with such issues. But can't they even understand a simple line having words "headless chicken".

Mr. Ronen Sen, I have only one advice for you. Have some self respect, and resign from the job, if you can leave that plum posting in US.

i appreciate mr. sen for giving such a daring statement by saying headless chicken but mr. sen they are headless, brainless fatty chickens.but you should not have to say sorry to these idiots sitting in one room ruling millions of indians .they deserve not only statements like these but i'm waiting for some person like late mr. nathu ram godse.sometimes i feel sorry for; why was that terrorist attack on parliament not succeded ,at least they should have to kill at least 250 to 270 parliamentarians.so that maybe we 'the ordinary citizen' of this country have some respite from thes headless chickens.

I tried to go to bath room & when I come back, I had lot of messups. My peace efforts were ridiculed as cowards & tried to put blame on my PM & now it is to the politicians too. You are also indirectly blaming Mr. Sen as bad, he didn't call politicians.

If we go and watch minutely can see who blame others are the real culprits.

In this currupted political world we can see only the covered face of the soclled good men with glittering substance. Acutally they are very cruel and savage.

And, every citizen has to have a third eye to observe the situation as much as he/she can and save our Nation with her entire sovereignity.

Mr. Sen is not a corrupt politician, he is a diplomat & he didn't call any politicians as bad.

I tried to go to bath room & when I come back I was treated like a coward. Again lot of ridicules & tried to defame my PM too.

And be given the assignment of the House's chaprasi, so that the next time around he remembers that it is the taxpayers of Bharatvarsh that he is getting paid for by, and not by that Neanderthaal occupying the Oval.

Bloody Fool !

One of the best Ambassador's India has produced should resign because he tells the truth? Nonsense. Few of our Govt people exhibit leadership. He is one. I think he reacted maturely, got the focus off himself and back to the issues. We need more like him.

its not abt maturity, its not abt issues. even USA is pretty much like india, both are not beyond problems of credibility with politicians. the thing is protocol and the 1st worldliness of mr sen. he should have been sent back, but that would have been a diplomatic boo-boo. anyways, he will not be taken the same way by politicians as he will be scowled at. good for him and the rest of his days at the embassy.

Irrespective of everything else, ronen simply exceeded his brief, and sardarji should have not let him continue in his job even for a day.

He must have remembered that he is the servant of Bharatvarsh and not that of the Samyuka Rajya America.

An educated idiot of the superlative degree.

Bloody fool would just not suffice for him.

Comment about MPs
by KPTRIPATHI on Aug 30, 2007 09:51 AM  Permalink

Well , not only in India ,but elsewhere too in a democratic set up the lawmakers are referred with several joky terms . Every citizen has a wright to react as per his knowledge, education and family background. These references by the one who is not only appointed by the same set up to represent not only the ideology of the ruling party but the country too is untolerable . Any one who feels so that the setup is ruined should first step down and then react. This is not only the first time we are observing this. Under this present situation the official should voluntarily step down or else the same lawmakers shoud take action against him they . Otherwise will be proving what they are worth.

When Truth is told People (MPs) get angry
by bhagatrajdev on Aug 30, 2007 09:31 AM  Permalink  | Hide replies

India has 545 Mental Patients (MP) who needs to be treated well in any of the mental hospitals.

When u call someone "Pagal" or a "Chor" or a "Donkey", does anyone accepts they are... NO. Similarly when u call someone "Headless chicken" they are bound to react as one and prove the statement.

There are some educated MPs and they loose their mental balance once they step in to the "WELL of Parliament" and a good example whats happening now. There are majority of MPs who are uneducated like the maid from Italy and her co-maids who thought the birdflu might kill and didnt react for it.
I understand that all ambassadors have to pass thru competative exams (hence presume he is intellectual) and if he has passed his IFS exams as many of IAS and IPS officers pass from Dr. Don school(Person who used to leak UPSC papers) then add him to the count of 545 and ignore as great people say "Ignorance is Bliss"

Dear Mr. Bhagat,

As per Shri. Varkala Radhakrishnan, MP from Kerala, now our LS members have an expense of Rs. 23084 per minute and 15 Lakhs per hour and 360 Lakhs of Rs per day. Thus, we assess the huge amount they are wasting from our Govt treasury with out any yield to this Nation. Always they remain as nuisance to this Nation. Not at all progressive discussion is taking place; only quarrel scenery is the result at the end of the day, more over, terrorism of a grave nature.

Our Ministers/MPs/MLAs/Govt servants have to bear in mind that they should immediately put an end of all malpractices, guide the Nation and her younger generation towards a bright future, keeping all under one umbrella not affecting our sovereignty.

We sum and say Jai Hind!
