RE:Was the Kaaba Originally a Hindu Temple?
by Milind on Aug 30, 2007 02:01 AM  Permalink
In India the crescent moon is always painted across the forehead of the Siva symbol. Since that symbol was associated with the Siva emblem in Kaaba it came to be grafted on the flag of Islam.

Another Hindu tradition associated with the Kaaba is that of the sacred stream Ganga (sacred waters of the Ganges river). According to the Hindu tradition Ganga is also inseparable from the Shiva emblem as the crescent moon. Wherever there is a Siva emblem, Ganga must co-exist. True to that association a sacred fount exists near the Kaaba. Its water is held sacred because it has been traditionally regarded as Ganga since pre-Islamic times (Zam-Zam water).

Muslim pilgrims visiting the Kaaba temple go around it seven times. In no other mosque does the circumambulation prevail. Hindus invariably circumambulate around their deities. This is yet another proof that the Kaaba shrine is a pre-Islamic Indian Shiva temple where the Hindu practice of circumambulation is still meticulously observed.

The practice of taking seven steps- known as Saptapadi in Sanskrit- is associated with Hindu marriage ceremony and fire worship. The culminating rite in a Hindu marriage enjoins upon the bride and groom to go round the sacred fire four times (but misunderstood by many as seven times). Since "Makha" means fire, the seven circumambulations also prove that Mecca was the seat of Indian fire-worship in the West Asia.

Hinduism is way older than any other popular religion of these days.
We know what the moghuls did when they invaded first and the what British did when they invaded after the moghuls.
So chances are that 95% of olden days mosques are built over a destroyed Hindu temple.

I urge you not to use abusive language against anyone, Muslims included. My intent of putting the excerpts was not defame Islam. I cant imagine how knowledge and a technical debate can defame anything. I am just fascinated by the similarities in the practices of Hinduism and Islam. I was not aware about these earlier.

you are right. but still these are muslims who divorce least and in other communities divorce rate is much higher. and after divorce even after the woman gets lot of money, she suffers and often becomes victim of the brutal society. just think where you are lacking. dont you think we need a culture and society where woman will be safe and not exploited by leachers.

For a change lets imagine a world where Hindus are fanatic and Muslims are NON-VIOLENT and tolerant..

Lets imagine that Hinduism has fatwas and Hindus should follow them blindly without using any BRAINS or scientific evidence...

It could happen this choice is by Muslims. If you leave fanaticism and integarte with the rest of the world then this avoidable...

To every ACTION THERE IS ALWAYS EQUAL AND OPPOSITE REATIONS. In a Gandhian world we don't want RSS/VHP. But in a Jinnah we want them. They are the only hope left for us to protect and organize...

People who are protesting against Buddha
by Checkthis on Aug 30, 2007 12:49 AM  Permalink  | Hide replies

You may hate Buddha but why shoot the messenger. What about his message? Are U guys running away from that ???? The truth is now out of the basket and you cannot hide from it. Either confront it and face it or just leave it as it is. Thank GOD for internet otherwise the Mullahs and the MIM's would easily have FATWA against Buddha...

Thanks Checkthis,

Now I understood, why I was posting hate messages. I am unable to channelize my energy.

I am going to visit a scholar soon to clarify all of my doubts with my open heart.

Thanks for opening my eyes.

Seriously I was not interested in getting knowledge, my intention was clearly to spread hatred right. So why would any Muslim with reasonable common sense argue with me.

I apologize to one and all particularly Muslims for my hate filled messages.

I will respect FREEDOM of speech over anything. I think your response is hate 'Cos its with no justification or evidence. Lets agree on one rule. Communicate with evidence and doesn't matter if you talk against Krishna/Buddha/Christ/Moses/Kabir or anybody else.

Islam may not value freedom of speech but we will die for it...

I LOVE U
by joshua joseph on Aug 30, 2007 12:44 AM  Permalink  | Hide replies

Folks seeing all the hate messages I decided to love U all and post what I read today its from the scriptures - Just thought would be relavent for the day.
451.      1 John 4:7
love one another, for love is from God; and everyone who loves is born of God and] knows God.
The one who does not love does not know God, for God is love.
If someone says, "I love God, hates his brother, he is a liar; for the one who does not love his brother whom he has seen cannot love God whom he has not seen.
452.      1 Corinthians 13:2 (Whole Chapter)
If I have the gift of prophecy, and know all mysteries and all [Rom 15:14] knowledge; and if I have all faith, so as to mountains, but do not have love, I am nothing.
And if I give all my possessions to feed the poor, and if I surrender my body to be burned, but do not have love, it profits me nothing.
Love is patient, love is kind and is not jealous; love does not brag and is not arrogant,
Love never fails; but if there are gifts of prophecy, they will be done away; if there are tongues, they will cease; if there is knowledge, it will be done away.
But now faith, hope, love, abide these three; but the greatest of these is love.

I think asking a woman to WEAR a burka in this 21'st century is abusing a religion and is a laughing stock.. Giving Fatwas in 21'st century is WAY abusing religion and encroachment on the FREEDOM of thought and Speech of mordern citizens.
Since the moderates like Taslima are abused and assaulted on national TV do U think anything else need to be said against the religion of Peace.... Just go to Iran or Saudi Arabia and experience the Religion of Peace how it is practised in this 21'st century..
If the Fatwa is the weapon of the Mullah then NOW blogging is the 21'st century weapons against any INTOLERANT people..

If only Hindus were living ALONE BOY they could have advanced so much by now that they could have been the envy of the West...
