Iraq was different
by mariappan on Aug 29, 2007 09:02 AM  Permalink

Before the iran-iraq war, iraq was the most liberal of all the muslim countries, it was as good as india in many aspects, they had pride in their 5000 year old history, but one war after the other, finished off them totally. In spite of that the majority of the people still think and act liberally in spite of the mullah sermons, i just hope and pray, the AOL efforts help them to come to terms sooner than latter.

Good initiative

Must appreciate Jasim Mohammed Jafar, the Iraqi minister for showing some vision in battling the problems of his nation. It seems the Iraqi leaders are trying to go in the right direction. However, the problems facing Iraq are huge. I have my reservations on whether this govt. could withstand once US decides to call it a day.

Challenge for these Iraqis are yet to come
by RamRam on Aug 29, 2007 02:24 AM  Permalink  | Hide replies

I guess the Art of Living must have some piece to these Iraqis. However, can they hold on to this once they reach back home, especially when the Mullahs there are going to spew venom, hatred and what not?? Will the Mullahs allow them to run similar classes in Iraq? Their challenges are yet to begin.

I was in Jordan to meet Sri Sri . He just returned from Jordan. He said after seeing him and talking to him , the Mullahs were very happy about sri Sri's mission. Only one mullah from Basra told him not to teach in Iraq as they would lose their hold on the youth! But man, you must see his disciples in Jordan- Jordaneans, uae nationals, Palestinians - all so happy and enthusiastic. Te Prime Minsiter Malaki told Sri Sri taht thjose in his office who have donethe AOL course never stop smiling. He asked Sri Sri '' what you did to them''?

GOOD DAYS ARE NEARING FOR IRAQ.
by sridhar gorantla on Aug 29, 2007 12:30 AM  Permalink  | Hide replies

ANYONE WHO CAN LOOK AND ADOPT GOOD THINGS, IRRESPECTIVE OF THE BOUNDARIES OF RELIGION, RACE AND NATIONALITY, THAT NATION WILL PROSPER AND FREE FROM DISTURBANCES.

IRAQ IS GOING TO GET GOOD TIMES IN NEAR FUTURE. IT WILL NOT BE ANOTHER AFGHANISTAN. GOD BLESS IRAQ, GOD BLESS INDIA, GOD BLESS THE WORLD.

The thnigs that happens in Art of Living practices is that, a persons body and mind will calm down and then the person will be able to focus onwhat is good and what is bad and doesnot fall in to temptations and free from frustrations. The more a person calms down his/her mind, the person statrts seeing oneself and everyone as same as themselves. In this sate, you would feel very happy internally and will not harm anyone or will not be harmed by anyone as well.

The entire process of Namaz or Church prayers or Temple Pooja's are for the ultimate purpose of Calming down ones own mind and turn mind from individuality and towards Universalness. The more a person calms down mind, the more the person will realize that ALLHA or GOD or Heavenly Father or Paramatma or the Universal Power that govers this entire universe as one and the same, no matter what you refer to.

The more your mind is in the disturbed state, the more you feel the differences between one and other and the more you create problems.

ALL RELIGIONS ARE SAME. Those who consider only their religion or only their savior or only thier prophet or only their guru as the savior of world REALLY DOESNOT KNOW WHAT GOD IS.

SAINTS OF ALL RELIGIONS WHO TRULY REALIZED THE UNIVERSAL STATE OF ONESELF had spoken of GOD OR ALLAH OR PARAMATMA OR HEAVENLY FATHER AS BEING THE SAME. differences lie only if you donot know what GOD is. The saints Like LORD JESUS CHRIST, LORD KRISHNA, LORD BUDDHA, PROPHET MOHAMMED, LORD MOSES, LORD RAMA, SRI SHIRDI SAI BABA, SRI RAMAKRISHNA PARAMAHAMSA e.t.c had spoke of the same thing.

AS PER VEDIC KNOWLEDGE,
1.in the initial stages, an individual sees most of the time, GOD OR DIVINITY as being located in some remote place and as being the universally powerful and controlling everythig in this world.

2.As the same individual progresses in the path of enlightment, the same individual most of the tomes perceives oneself as part and parcel of the universalness, like in the case saints terming the divnity as divine mother or divine father or divine lover or in other form depenging on their bent ofthe mind.

3.In the final stages, the same individual perceives oneself as an all pervading DIVINITY irrespective of time. In ths state, there is no individuality but universalness, that is beyond the time and space, beyond the material and mind level differences, beyond the drama of birth and death e.t.c limitations that are common to un-enlightened people.

SOTP WRITING CRAP. NOT EVERY MUSLIM MAY BE BAD. THERE ARE SOME VERY GOOD PEOPLE AS WELL. LOOK BEYOND THE LIMITS OF RELIGION AND VIEW EVERY HUMAN AS ONE. HUMANITY OF TREATING OTHER HUMANS AS SAME AS YOU IS FAR ABOVE THE RELIGION.

THE ULTIMATE AIM OF EVERY RELIGION IS TO MAKE A PRSON REALIZE THE PRESENCE OF ONESELF IN SELF AND IN EVERYONE AND IN EVERYWHERE. GOD/ALLAH/PARAMATMA/UNIVERSAL POWER IS ONE.
GOD/ALLAH/PARAMATMA/UNIVERSAL POWER IS GREAT.
GOD/ALLAH/PARAMATMA/UNIVERSAL POWER IS EVERYWHERE.
