I think rediff is trying to fill up a news slot wid this junk news ok Mayawati's orkut profile. The post below is right.. she is illiterate.. how can she have a orkut profile.. eventhough she was literate i bet she wudnt know how to operate a computer. Rediff is fooling around, making people read some masala stuff..

it is same as making caricature of any politicain in any newspaper or magazine . why so much hue n cry .its a free country .rather then wasting tax payer money in investigations,changing names of cities or making parks . do needful for the poorest section of the society.

Public personalities are liable to be commented by the people at ;arge .if thr eis anythig defamatory, the person concerned should personally sue the offender under the existing laws regarding defamation. That willbe the only right course .

The free country does not mean , you can do whatever you want to do it. if people forget role modeles, what is wrong changing names of cities in the of the great indian heros. At least kids will why the name of the city is this or why the name of the so and so...

I do not agree with you. Ask taxi driver in Bombay to take you to "Gyanacharya Pandit Vishnu Digamber Chowk". He will say he do not know the place, though it is very famous place originally known as Royal Opera House. By the way do you know who is "Gyanacharya Pandit Vishnu Digamber"?

Netizens need to learn to behave with responsibility. In real world, it is ok to be casusal but on the net, people think and do things. What they forget is, for every link clicked, they are unassumingly saying, "I agree". On the net, privacy is as important as is freedom. as for orkut, the only trouble is they hav discontinued the 'by invitation only' system making it unsafe and less personal. but then, orkut is just a fad in the history of internet, n shud be taken as just that.
