There are plenty of other languages spoken in China but Mandarin and Cantonese are considered under the label 'Chinese' .There is enough of difference between them to call them different languages.
China is a biggest country and their development is only imagination for India. The reason for the development in China is their rules and regulations of govt. There is no polilical party games and law is very strict against crime, offence etc. here in India story is different. whoever comes ( eg. Sonia) with support of looting polititians can do anything and there are no law and justice exists only money power . SO TRY TO CHANGE OUR GOVT LAWS AND BANN ALL THIRD RATE POLITICAL PARTIES

very true!!!! China created 4 large SEZs and developed their infrastucture incredibly.By the support infrastructure, free education and training system to their people they have created one of biggest trained and skilled workforce.Corruption is a crime punishable by death!!!Govt is taking all the decisions and nobody allows to poke their nose into it.In india story is different.Politicians r looting available to develop infra and everybody tries to stop any forward and bold decisions be it economic, power etc..general people is buried under heavy taxes and political leaders njoying their money..although India progressed due to this general people own effort and our politicians contribution is zero..soon we face shortage of skilled labour and china will take advantage of that...as they have country sponsored schools(over 100000) to train common chienese in a particular skill and English for free.India have only 5000 and things r costly there.Rural India do not have any access onto it and we r ruined by our shameful leaders by every passing dayThey r now looting money from da education fund to educate poor children..India is laggin behind china and soon the bubble of superpower will vanish the way our corrupt leaders r goin. They r good for nothin(all the parties).Maybe a president rule for 10 years will save us from disintegration.
Two Asian powers-China and India is a joke. I have been to China recently-there is NO COMPARISON. Even in rural villages the infrastructure in China is amazing.. It is like comparing BOMBAY with Bhagalpur!

Dear dutt, your observation is absolutely correct. Their villages are well electrified, running water, roads, infracture, 24hrs open shops, schools, etc. Much cleaner than say Delhi (lets accept the facts). They are very polite and have a civilized civic sense. Wake up india.

We are Indians..Let us not blame each other-it is our collective failure. We can start with some basic discipline/values. In Shanghai I hardly heard 5 honks in a week. In Mumbai every second there is sound pollution from random honking..I saw cars standing in a red signal honking..To whom? Is it impatience? Frustration? What?
