Definately somewhere PAKISTAN has taken lead in missile technology as we are falling behind in our ongoing prjects. One thing comes in mind that if the missile has a range of 350Kms then definately missile has to very heavy and it seems that neither F-16 or JF-17 is capable of arrying these missiles. Even Pak want to carry these missiles on these two aircrafts a lot of Modification has to take place, right noe only PC-3 orion aircraft looks to carry these missiles. These aircrafts ahs low speed as compare to conventinal fighter jets. But this has really created a big problem for india because these PC-3 orion are also long duration fighter jets and can hit any Indian costs 10 hrs. after taking off. We need to built a very strong Suveliance system and Network of radars and Missiles. We should not take all these very lightly. But one thing also comes in mind that if Pakistan has such a sound knowledge of "BALLASTICS" and "GUIDANCE" why this nation is not able to develop its own space craft, where as in dia on its own developed highly capable Spacecrafts.
We are perhaps the most unlucky nation in the world. In one side Pakistan is test firing nuclear missile/weapons and on the other side we are promising to the world that we will not do any test of nuclear weapons. Our great PM is going to sign the nuclear deal and changing statements everyday re. the detail of the deal and he never explained what the great benefit we will get against that from the USA or World. We cant do anything except praying to the God.

...these missles were manufactured by the chinese...going by recent chinese c.o.c.k ups from toys to toothpastes to animal foods...the pakies must now be really worried whether these chinese missiles will work when they r most needed LOL!!

Stop living in fool's paradise. We can not save our hide by simply downplaying chinese technologies.
These Pakis are definitely getting base technology from China, however, they have been able to improve the technology better than original chinese design.
We should prepare ourselves to avoid shock and awe at the hands of Pakistan in case of war.
Only 2 nations in the whole world are opposing this Indo US nuclear deal, China and Pakistan.... China has the Most Favored NAtion status with the US and opposes the same status for India. China has got a similar nuclear deal with the US bt opposes the deal with India... Jyoiti Basu of CPM protested against Indian defence againt chinese invasion of india in 1962 and was jailed by Nehru for anti India activities. Basu went on to become the CM of bengal. Commies never condemn Chinese claim of arunachal Pradesh whn the people themselves want top be part of India.. CPM opposes Indian nuclear progress bt has no problems with Chinas nuclear arming of pakistan whch are targeted towards India and supports iranian nuclear program. The communists oppose ndustrialiazation in India and went on killing 100's of poor farmers in Singur and Nandigram tryin to grab farmers fertile land for setting up industries. Commies are ruling bengal for more than 30 years now and have reduced bengal from being the finest to being the poorest.. Only big industry in commie ruled states bangal and kerala are trade unions and their number one product is strikes and bandh. Commies vociferously opposed introduction of computers by rajiv gandhi, commies cald computers as evil and against national interest. Commies neva condemned chinese invasion of India in 1962. In my opinion Pakistan is well aware of the fact that they will never be able to get the similar deal from US as we did.
They are doing to create a pressure on US by demanding for the same treatment so that they could continue their nuclear development activities with overt and covert support of China.
They are also want to exert counter-pressure on US, which is pressurizing Pakistan for not signing a deal with Iran for laying Iran-Pakistan gas pipeline.
If US rejects Pakistan's request for treating it at par with India with regards to nuclear cooperation, Pakistan can also reject US pressure against the gas pipeline.
For Pakistan, this gas pipeline will bring unbelievable economic prospects. They will earn millions of dollars if India also joins in.
Pakistan wants India to join this project at all cost. Why? Reason is simple. If we stop their water (which we will never do) they will stop our energy resources.
Either we sign a deal or start energy projects with US or Iran-Pakistan, we may find ourselves being blackmailed from our so called friends or foes.

Now equating is something one can debate on. Pakistan knows that very well. They know that they will never be able to match with India in terms of numbers. However, they are trying to off-set this disadavntage by quality.
In weapons systems, they have achieved this parity whether we accept this or not.
Their ballistic and cruise missiles are examples. Their engineers and sceintist who we always thought inferior to us, have done all that.
These Pakistanis have mastered the art of stealing technology and then reverse engineering it.
I have met a Pakistani Engineer in Dubai who told me that nodong missiles of Korean orgin have been so much improved that now if Korean want to learn how to develop accurate missiles, they should approach Pakistan now.
They way he was telling me technicalities of missiles and its systems made me stunned about the level of know how and technical maturity of Pakistani scientific and engineering community. Interestingly he was aware that I am Indian and whatever he disclosed to me was an engineering facts only.
The thing that surprised me was the knowledge and the speed with which Pakistanis arrange forbidden components from around the world.
I am warning my Indian countrymen that your enemy is not the enemy of 1971. We need to reassess our views about the small country called Pakistan. My worst nightmare would be to see Pakistan becoming an Israel of subcontinent.
