Punishment as per law
by gongloor sudhakar on Aug 27, 2007 12:34 AM  Permalink

No person is above law whether Sanjay, Salman or anybody. They are supposed to be role models for society where people emulate actors and do idol worship and literacy rate is low in India. The same will apply to corrupt politicians.
Sanjay should serve his 5 yrs terms washing his sins such as working as domestic in the house of 300 victims parents who lost there loved ones in the mumbai blast. The person killed will not get there life back. The only repentence for sanjay is clean the chores, clean the clothes do gandhigiri in real life for the victims relatives.

Less sentence please..
by Sandeep on Aug 25, 2007 01:58 AM  Permalink

This would be a short respite. But I hope Supreme court will lessen the sentence to a year or 2.
The fact he kept the gun for self defence purposes should be strongly considered while seeing magnitude and intention of the crime.

Blast victims would have unfortunately died anyways whether he asked for the gun or not so trying to link that to his aquiring gun is foolishness.
Courts and police should spend more time on dangerous/real criminals rather then try to set examples and keep all gullible people happy..
Harsh sentencing for actors probably suits politicians well, it keeps naive people happy that rich and powerful are getting sentenced whereas real powerful criminal politicians gets away.

Sanjay Dutt release - A respite
by kunuthur srinivas on Aug 24, 2007 10:10 PM  Permalink

It is not gentlemanly to further accuse a person for having been already fixed for being guilty. Where as, there are thousands of people in our country who committed much graver offences marring the country's integrity and honour but have not been rounded up. The press for its part should not overplay its role only to increase their business.

Sanjay Dutt released
by Sensor on Aug 24, 2007 10:48 AM  Permalink  | Hide replies

Sanjay Dutt released, is a great news to him, his family his friend and his film producers.

But I do not why media is giving so much of hype to his release. What is Sanjay Released from jail after obtaining freedom for country. He is in jail for doing a criminial act. And is out just on technical grounds. Please 'Media Guys" do not feed us with this info there are a lot more info to be given to public.

However my sympathies to Sajay and his family.

& my sympathies to the people killed in the terror attacks *supported* by none other than Sanjay Dutt...
Its really sad that criminals are released on bail for offences like carrying an AK56 and hand grenades for personal protection!!
Police force is well aware of all this but suppressed by corrupt ministers and loopholes in our Law system!!!

My sympathies also to people killed in riots and terror attacks.
But saying Sanjay was supporting terror attacks is unfounded and probably really trying to stretch your imagination.

this is a joke
by magan bhai on Aug 24, 2007 01:33 AM  Permalink  | Hide replies

People are saying that he is still in jail for 2 days despite given bail. What about those 14 years when he was out on bail instead of jail.

is this a joke that not receiving a copy of justice means you can get a bail...may be it should take same time to approve the bail by Kode.

he should first hand the copy of justice and then approve the bail.

stupid media...

ask people who were victimize in the bomb blast about sanjay dutt.

AK56 is not a joke and definitely not a toy to play and his meeting with dons was real.

RE:money power !!
by ARYAN PUNJABI on Aug 23, 2007 10:45 PM  Permalink
Why all of us are writing about him ? He is worse than a profesional criminal !!!!!!!!!!! He does'nt deserve any sympathy,a spoiled boy, disgrace to film industry,to parents,to nation !!!!!, are we not fools to make national hero out of a spoiled boy who was hands in gloves with anti-national criminals ? If he was being blackmailed even then he could easily have unearthed the sinister designs of his friends secretly !!!!!

by dijri on Aug 24, 2007 09:24 AM  Permalink
So who should they vote for....the sadistic hindutva parties like BJP and Sena.

Even Muslims could argue that we are the vote bank of BJP, Anwar has a point although Sanjay is not released but simply on bail. I fail to understand why people cant get this in their heads.
