Only 2 nations in the whole world are opposing this Indo US nuclear deal, China and Pakistan.... China has the Most Favored NAtion status with the US and opposes the same status for India. China has got a similar nuclear deal with the US bt opposes the deal with India... Jyoiti Basu of CPM protested against Indian defence againt chinese invasion of india in 1962 and was jailed by Nehru for anti India activities. Basu went on to become the CM of bengal. Commies never condemn Chinese claim of arunachal Pradesh whn the people themselves want top be part of India.. CPM opposes Indian nuclear progress bt has no problems with Chinas nuclear arming of pakistan whch are targeted towards India and supports iranian nuclear program. The communists oppose ndustrialiazation in India and went on killing 100's of poor farmers in Singur and Nandigram tryin to grab farmers fertile land for setting up industries. Commies are ruling bengal for more than 30 years now and have reduced bengal from being the finest to being the poorest.. Only big industry in commie ruled states bangal and kerala are trade unions and their number one product is strikes and bandh. Commies vociferously opposed introduction of computers by rajiv gandhi, commies cald computers as evil and against national interest. Commies neva condemned chinese invasion of India in 1962. Commies do not recognize aksai chin in kashmir as part of india. And yes the commies got a new name now "Headless Chickens and Spineless Morons".

hey batman! While I can understand your point completely that India and US should be strategic partner in future it is also important that it would give utmost consideration before making this deal. Otherwise history would remember this as hasty decision of a minority government. What is the hurry? Sure we will make the deal, but why not have a democratic debate? While you are too vocal against the CPM but your silence about BJP's stand on this issue is surprising.... why dont you dare to say a word about it? Do'nt you think China and Pak is not happy about BJP as well? Imagine if BJP was in power and Cong in opposition, dont you think the situation would have been the same? Opposition politics in India sucks!

Anindya Roy, did we have a democratic debate when we changed track in 1991 on economic policies (by congress),did we have debate in 1998 when Ntests were conducted (by BJP)???

China'a hidden agenda is to spoil Indo- US co-operation and destroy India'a software industry and posperity. Why Commies have pressurised Govt. to bring 1000 Chineese Enginners to work in India.We hv so many unemployed Engineers. These Chinese Engineers may pass on confdential information abt India Energy Programme to China. Truely Commie are anti-national and should be jailed

Definitely, you have given true information and I applaud that for thefirst time I have read an informative redponse to any article online till date. It is obvious from their approach (CPM). No common man knows the reson behind their being against nuclear deal. It seems to me that China has feeded them with money in all these years that is why they never oppose China in any sense. That Jyoti Basu was jailed, I have come to know from u and I don;t know why no news article or newspaper has not pointed this at any point of time... But it is a shame for Cngress to take their support when they vociferously opposed computerisation.. So many Bengal graduates are working here in computerised call centres and they have to come from Bengal to Delhi and other areas to earn their bread and butter. If this is the condition of the educated lot there, we can assume the pight of semi-literate and uneducated people there..

All the morons who are writing in the forums thing that it is a communisit vs. capitalism issue. In reality you all forgot the India's future interest and benefit on this deal. The nuclear deal is not GOOD FOR INDIA in the current format and it must be renogitated with INDIA'S interests in mind!.
All those morons dont understand that once we agree to this deal and set-up our plants and everything by investing huge amount of money and we do any test the deal is scrapped, uranium input stops and our plants are out of fuel and our investment is a waste!.
