What a fickle mind?

These buffoons are after Sen now - all the drama about Nucleaur deal seems to have taken the back seat. Why are they after the poor guy who made an off the cuff remark - what does it matter? He said sorry, accept it gracefully, calm down and move on, wtf. Once the real 'deal' (nuclear) is addressed and resolved, revisit the issue with this guy, demote him and move him to Mauritious or Mozambia. Simple. Why all this crap in the Parliament I don't understand, wasting precious taxpayer money.

This deal is not about Congress, the Left or the BJP. This deal is not about communism or socialism or capitalism. This deal is not about personal ego or politics morons. This deal is about India's future. Her (India) ability to carry out nuclear tests and still be part of the NSG. Her (India) ability to secure her long term energy future without compromising on sovereign rights. Her (India) skill to get into a deal without compromising her future. All those moro..ns out there and equate China with evil, US as saviour and BJP as stupid opposition are grossly mistaken. This is not about china or US or any other states. It is pure and simply our ability to get into a deal in our terms. Dont blame the left, dont blame the BJP or communism or capitalism or socialism. It is purely a test for our netas and babus (the current ruling ones) to strike and get into a deal which doesn't compromise our ability to do a nuclear test as everyone might remember that we are not a signatory to CTBT and / or NPT. The deal is off if test is done and we agree to it, it tantamounts to signing the CTBT indirectly. All the 5 veto weilding nuclear countries have a one - sided law favoring them and India should become 6 with ability to test and still be part of the NSG PERIOD!.

Kajolika, every single person in this discussion along with our hon'ble MP's deserve to be called headless chickens. Mr. Sen has clarified that he did not use "headless chicken" to describe our MPs but the journalists who are running here and there for a comment or two. He has erred in publicly airing his dissension, regarding an issue about which the parliament is debating. Being a Public Servant he should have exercised more restraint. Now let us all show more maturity. Whatever u might say about the MPs they are elected by the people , people like u and me. If they are useless, it is reflecting upon ourselves, our inefficiency to make a change our incapability to create good leaders, and our failure as a society to nurture a culture of honesty and service. Yadha Praja Thadha Raja is what I have to say. Let us have more debates rather than propaganda war. Let the parliament debate about the issue. Let us have more facts before we make judgements. And by the way please read the interview with Dr. A.N.Prasad, available in rediff.com. Someone other than the Left and BJP is also voicing his apprehensions about the N-deal. I hope unlike the politicians a scientists voice will have some credibility.

Headless Chickens
by on Aug 22, 2007 03:29 PM  Permalink  | Hide replies

What are the politicians, most of whom have made zero contribution to this great country, upset about ?

Even if the Ambassador has apologised, and even if he did not say it, describing some of our MPs as 'headless chickens' is not too far from the truth. We have MPs who are criminals, we have MPs who are uneducated (or minimum education), we have MPs who have got several cases against them. So why the fuss ?

And if the MPs are so upset about his comment, what are they doing about George Fernandes's comment on Manmohan Singh ? Those comments were much worse, much more insulting and cast aspersions on the PM who is one of the most recognised and respected statesmen of India.

Before trying to demand the recall of the Ambassador, the MPs should pull Fernandes by his hair, blacken his face, beat him with chappals and parade him on a donkey. That is the punishment he deserves for being a gutter politician.

Headless Chicken
by DEBABRATA BANDYOPADHYAY on Aug 22, 2007 03:00 PM  Permalink

What i understand by the idiom, 'Headless Chicken'is 'confused state of mind'. Our politicians are not behaving since long with clarity. Negetiations started about two years back. Why they did not stopped it at first instant? Were they waiting for bending(submission) of the head of mother India before world community? They are either confused or brain washed persons, and try to keep commoner in dark or confused for their personal and mean benefits.
