Nuke Deal
by ashok mittal on Aug 22, 2007 11:20 AM  Permalink  | Hide replies

It is not understood as to why India wants to explode atomic bomb? Can the atomic bomb that may be devised by India match anything near the latest one being possessed by other Powers? Or we want to show only to Pakistan that we can produce A. Bomb. Can India & Pakistan ever enter into a nuclear war? USA will sell only war fighter planes, tanks to India & Pakistan; not nuclear warheads. India or Pakistan cannot manufacture even F-16. Then why to cry for right to explode atomic bomb. India is free to go to moon. It does not require any licence from USA. But can it? By luck we had software explosion in the year 2K; we got recognised for labour. Do u know Siemens is getting all the technical designing of Power Plants from India because Indian Engineers are cheaper by 90%. Look into their facility in Gurgaon: Siemen Power. They have shunted out thousands of engineers in Germany and established facilities in Gurgaon. Meaning thereby, we Indians are recgnised for labour. We can boast of Chawla & Suneeta once they become US citizens. We are free to shout; they come in India by way of FDI, earn and loot; teach us consumerisation the way British told us to become "English speeking Clerks". Put all the Politicians to Narco Tests to know their hidden wealths; their corrupted deeds. It is only then we can think of doing miracle in Atomic explosions.

Ashok,
That was a very enthusiastic reply. But you have missed the point with a big margin. Its not a question of whether you should explode atom bomb or not.. its the question of choice that a soveriegn country can make or not..??And regarding India sending man to moon it will soon be realised and the achievements and progress made by ISRO is very much applaudable by any standards. And in a globalised world Indians are now acquiring the companies worldwide and are not labours only anymore.Wait my dear friend for next 10 years you are goin to see much more what indians are capable to do.Dont be pessimistic and even if u are keep it with you.Try to spread positive energy and work to make India a Great economic power.

I understand your concern. But i disagree with ur points(not all but some)..

We need to explode bombs so that we are recognised in this world!!!Well we cannot compete with the already developed nations. But its a process that would make us stand somewhere near them atleast in the future.

India cannot even manufacture F-16 ...true ..but would some time later ..and how do u want finish the race even b4 starting it??? Be happy that atleast we are in a position that we can buy them ..(we never even thought of buying them in the past)

Coming to siemen power ...we are labourers indeed ...let it be an indian based company infosys or foreign based siemen ...For which govt is the siemens India paying taxes to????dont u think that has something to do with our economy??

lastly for a change, I agree we boast abt "Indo-americans" ..that sucks ... though there FDI is helping India ... and no one would want invest without profit ..be it an NRI or RI ..u can't blame the NRI's ...What do u do with ur paycheck ....direct the whole to charity or something???

politians cannot be changed ... but that doesn't mean we cant be successful with the atomic bomb technology..

I am little confused. With whom China made the agreement: USA or Soviet Union?
And what are the major agreements vis a vis the proposed agreement between India and USA?

Deal shouldn't be done in its present form
by door drishti on Aug 22, 2007 11:03 AM  Permalink

The deal document is ambiguous ...and can be interpreted in any way ...in case of nuclear test, the stronger country will call the shots ...and no doubt who that is between India and USA...
MMS wd be sidelined by that time ...or may be his sons/grandsons wd be enjoying in USA with the NRIs like Selva ...and who knows Selva and all other NRIs might hav interset in US companies
Selva ...don't try to say that its a gift from u ...u guys are be-pendi ka lota ...jahan mauka mila lurak gaye

Why 123 Agreement
by Don on Aug 22, 2007 11:02 AM  Permalink

Let US produce Cheap Power by way of FDI. Let it set up a Power Plant and produce electricity as an Independent Power Producer(IPP).

Why interfere in our nuclear program, Foreign policy, Democracy, liberty, Unity and integrety of the Nation and its people?

Why they need to Award US citizenship to our PM Dr. Singh

Why so much of fuss for Power generation?

We already have so much of installed capacity and we can enhance more if required.

To,
Mr. Selva Kumar

We do not understand what are the clauses or conditions in the deal that Left party is abjecting to. These are not discussed in Media. Only thing thats being discussed is that Left is opposing this and is ready to withdraw support if this deal sails through.

Regards;

Kashyap

i strongly agree with u. Actually the people of india doesn't have complete information about the deal which leads confusion among them. Why the Left has given threat to withdraw support,if the deal will finalized. Hope, the leaders of Left and Media will go to public and make clear about the confusions and its bad effects in future.
