In January 1980, Indira Gandhi returned as Prime Minister. The first thing Sonia did was to enroll herself as a voter. This was a gross violation of the law, enough to cause cancellation of her visa [since she was admittedly an Italian citizen then]. There was some hullabaloo in the press about it, so the Delhi Chief Electoral Officer got her name deleted in 1982. But in January 1983, she again enrolled herself as a voter! Such is her revealed disdain for Indian laws and that is her mindset even today.

Only 2 nations in the whole world are opposing this Indo US nuclear deal, China and Pakistan.... China has the Most Favored NAtion status with the US and opposes the same status for India. China has got a similar nuclear deal with the US bt opposes the deal with India... Jyoiti Basu of CPM protested against Indian defence againt chinese invasion of india in 1962 and was jailed by Nehru for anti India activities. Basu went on to become the CM of bengal. Commies never condemn Chinese claim of arunachal Pradesh whn the people themselves want top be part of India.. CPM opposes Indian nuclear progress bt has no problems with Chinas nuclear arming of pakistan whch are targeted towards India and supports iranian nuclear program. The communists oppose ndustrialiazation in India and went on killing 100's of poor farmers in Singur and Nandigram tryin to grab farmers fertile land for setting up industries. Commies are ruling bengal for more than 30 years now and have reduced bengal from being the finest to being the poorest.. Only big industry in commie ruled states bangal and kerala are trade unions and their number one product is strikes and bandh. Commies vociferously opposed introduction of computers by rajiv gandhi, commies cald computers as evil and against national interest. Commies neva condemned chinese invasion of India in 1962. Commies do not recognize aksai chin in kashmir as part of india. And yes the commies got a new name now "Headless Chickens and Spineless Morons".

U hv written too much on the communist activities and the non-progress activities done in the states under their rule. Y don't u think the independent India under Congress and the progress they done to the country. Congress is totally worked as BSE or NSE and hv created politicians and hiers to sell off and brokerage the Government and rule. U may recall, It is the Congress which hv wiped out industry from Bengal due to petty difference with the ruling Congress. U don't hv any right to blame totally on Commis, but u can do the same at the max. on congress as it has ruled and not done anything for the country but only to congress heirs. Commis created a think thank group and helped India by figuring the right thing to the govt. and India. They r less power drunk, if so, they cud hv shared the govt. positions and ministries. As reg. the Nuke deal, the Govt. hidden too many things and final agreement came out, the govt. bowed to US brokers.

By attempting to stick to your guns childishly with the 'on record - off record' issue, you are only precipitating matters more and should learn a few lessons in responsible journalism. It would not have harmed you if you had graciously conceded that probably you were'nt able to discern between the 'on-record, off-record' out of the conversation. You are aware that the parliamentarians are just manipulating the issue to score political points. You are aware that they need an excuse to misbehave and walk-out for the flimsiest of reasons. You are an intellectual, so is the Ambassador. How can you play into the hands of these ragamuffins who call themselves our representatives in parliament. I attribute you with more intelligence than what you have just displayed. You cannot get manipulated unless you have chosen to play along. You would have scored more points if you had helped in mitigating the matter, which is disrupting the parliament and placing the ambassador you 'have highest respect for'(sic) in an embarassing tight spot. Playing games are you, adding fuel to the fire, using your position to have the last word so irresponsibly and considering the readers to be idiots who have to decipher it as your expression of 'highest respect', whilst the rest of what you write is to the contrary. Sure you will make a miserable politician, sorry you just also made a miserable adult clinging on to a childish ego. Go ahead have the last word.
I am not into debate of what is right or what is wrong, but Mr. Sen should not reveal in inside stories to the media.
And yes, he has no right to blame MPs... Its a democratic country, and the bill is yet to be cleared from the Parliament. Mr. Sen should not try to take American side, even before anything is decided here. He is Indian Ambassador, and not an American Mouthpiece...
