Headless Traitors
by jyotigraha on Aug 21, 2007 03:36 PM  Permalink

Dear Leftists, there was nothing wrong in your trying to prevent India\'s freedom, nothing wrong in your supporting Chinese aggression ,nothing wrong in your selling part of West Bengal to Bangladeshi illegal immigrants and making your states peaceful havens for islamic terrorists, fanatics and retrogrades, nothing wrong in your opposing sanctions against fundamentalist Iran;but you find everything wrong in a deal with a decent, progressive, modern, freindly nation who have openly or secretly helped us over the decades.

Kya bura kaha?

Well, I appreciate the ambassador (if he said like this). Atleast somebody has initiated the abuse for the politicians.

I dont know if this deal is right or wrong. But, I personally feel, India is not like Iraq or Afganistan. We have our own dignity and power that US or any other country can't destroy.

I feel, this deal is a big challenge for those who really think terrorism is not a part of the society. You can't blame the democracy all the time. Someday, somehow, somebody has to act like an autocrat.

If India want to move further in an international affairs, they should bag a nuke deal. I dont know how many of these MPs are well educated or understand what is nuke deal. But, I would say, ambassador has called them a "headless chicken" very correctly, but still very less for them.

They are the hardheaded people, they can't understand the nation's need. If this nuke deal will come our way, we have lot of other deals open with UK, Cananda, Australia and France.

Everybody has a good relationship with our country, be it because of present or the past governments. But, if we cancel/withdraw the nuke deal... Everybody knows how we will be treated in international ground. We know very well, US never do this kind of deal with all the countries. It is India and not surprisigly, we are struggling with the terrorism too.

You can call this as a sympethatic relationship or a bilateral tie-up which will benefit both the countries. But, I don't see any harm in signi

Heads will roll but the 'chickens' will stroll!

I too would like to join the BJP and the Left in condemning Ronen Sen for undeservedly calling them 'headless chickens". Headless, I can understand, but chickens? Surely, chickens have better qualities of maturity, responsbility, affection for the master (or patriotism, if you prefer it) and I believe the President (uhh...Madam President..) has already received a host of petitions for the recall of Ronen Sen for insulting the chickens of the world. Mind your language, Sen, or you'll have to chicken out...thats what (or all that) the BJP and the Left are good at.
Politics and a fanatical craving for power makes strange bedfellows in India - imagine the pariah of the political system, the BJP joining the chorus with CPM for Manmohan Singh's head. Can you do anything but pity these chicks...sorry, 'gentlemen'? Lets hope Singh doesn't "chicken" out this time...

Sovereign Nation
by KALKI on Aug 21, 2007 03:26 PM  Permalink

Sovereign nations can sign deals with all others and later if their sovereignity is at stake go back on promises made on any deal even one with US. Why fear??
A great sovereign nation such as Bharat ca nsign deals simulataneously with US and China. Why this either/ or US and China?
Bharat must be friendly with all nations. Bharat must become not Big brother of all nations but the Father of all nations.
Get out of these squables.
I do say be non-aligned. that is negative.
BE ALIGNED TO ALL. LET THE WHOLE WORLD VALUE OUR FRIENDSHIP, BE THEY FROM ANY CAMP.

Comminists will be punished even by keralites and Bengalis. Slowly they have started to realise that other states are more progressive than the communist rules states. Communism will wither away like townships wither away during a tornado strike.

it is not communism or socialism or capitalism,
it is national interest and independence in
nuclear research. Global terrorism and civil
nuclear program are American inventions like weapons of mass destruction, to cry wolf and
dominate traditional societies.

We should have only 2 parties that are ruling and opposition.

Why we should have hundred different parties, would this will help us for development, would this will finish poverty would this will make people life easier and better and bring smile on they face.

it is not a dumb suggestion. we need to rethink.100's of regional parties..with regional chauvanistic attittude.may be3 -4 at the max.else no firm foriegn policy, no fast development and ultimately no credibility. We are seeing that now in the context of nuclear deal.
