I very firmly believe that the Left (Communist) Parties are opposing the nuclear deal only on instructions of the communist Chinese leaders (they have to oppose anything connected with USA), because leaders in China are scared that India will benefit immensely with this civilian nuclear deal in various field viz. Generating Electric Power which in turn benefit various fields viz. Agricultural (farmers), Industrial, Information Technology, etc. We might not hear about farmers commiting suicide because they could not cultivate their field due to lack of electricity and water. With the industries benefiting the management will take care of their workers and that might see the end to strikes.
YES I FEEL THIS DEAL WILL BENEFIT INDIA (HUMANS) AND WHO WANTS TO MAKE BOMBS (TO KILL HUMANS)
I also agree to the statement (whoever said it) that the politicians are headless chickens.

U rediff guys..took a interview of Sushma Swaraj and Prakash Karat and just tell us why they are opposing the deal.
We want a satisfactory answer that what is in the deal that is not favourable for India. They will answer you that this is not in favour of India....Just ask them why??? Which portion of deal is not in favour of India....then publish that here

And, what percentage of Indians do you think will support your views in this? And about rediff, they are media who just published the ambassador%u2019s opinion and encouraged common man to voice out their responses. Have they done anything wrong? As far i know and my knowledge goes, this agreement will strenthern indias energy requirments and india can become one of the super powers. It is not a bad thing being associated with USA and they even can do a lot for our country. AS the indian opposition and the old ex miniters are concerned they just want to remain in light as the present goernment is doing their best for the country and except problem created by opoosition and some allies they are are smoothly running the government. Only 2 nations in the whole world are opposing this deal, China and Pakistan.... China has the Most Favored NAtion status with the US and opposes the same status for India. China has got a similar nuclear deal with the US bt opposes the deal with India... Jyoiti Basu of CPM protested against Indian defence againt chinese invasion of india in 1962 and was jailed by Nehru for anti India activities. Basu went on to become the CM of bengal. Commies never condemn Chinese claim of arunachal Pradesh whn the people themselves want top be part of India.. CPM opposes Indian nuclear progress bt has no problems with Chinas nuclear arming of pakistan whch are targeted towards India and supports iranian nuclear program. The communists oppose industrialiazation in India and went on killing 100's of poor farmers in Singur and Nandigram tryin to grab farmers fertile land for setting up industries. Commies are ruling bengal for more than 30 years now and have reduced bengal from being the finest to being the poorest.. Only big industry in commie ruled states bangal and kerala are trade unions and their number one product is strikes and bandh. Commies vociferously opposed introduction of computers by rajiv gandhi, commies cald computers as evil and against national interest. Commies neva condemned chinese invasion of India in 1962. Commies do not recognize aksai chin in kashmir as part of india. Use your logic now...

The comment made by Sen should be taken as his personal capacity as a citizen of India instead of an ambassador. Because some time politician do practice this type of comment in that prespective. Its right that any body as a official capacity can not comment of that magnitude but from personal capacity one can. Its not a catagorical statement from his office.

I agree. I do not understand why we people are so intolerant when others make some comment. As a citizen of India, Mr.Sen has every right to express his views...the comments he made were not official in the capacity of "Ambassador". Even our so politicians keep on making comments and changing them every now and then... at least he is better then them.
