Once we get the Uranium - no one will dare take it back from us ! These commie fools do not understand how powerful that material is. Even US is scared of nuclear weapons states.

If we do not get this deal we ll spend another 10 years in the dark without electricity till we have the technology to generate power by using Thorium. We still do not have the final tech to generate power through these Fast Breeder Reactors. We should take this deal to generate power and speed up the research on fast breeder reactors so that as soon as we have the production capabalities using thorium based technology we can just stop importing uranium. But right now we need Uranium based tech so that we get power and we are nt left behind and go back to the dark ages... and yah this deal is only civilian so no need to worry abt military nuclear instalations. n we are free to test nuclear weapons. the Hyde Act is just a cosmetic effect by the US government to shut the mouths of the Non proliferation hawks in washington who are opposing this deal tooth n nail... The US understand it has no leverage to stop India from testing weapons and it dosnt want to risk billions of dollars of investment by imposing nay sanctions. remember 1998 aftre the tests the US imposed sanctions but had to bite the dust and remove sanctions after realizing it was their industries that were suffering.. so be cool and just use this deal to the maximum and do not let the commies Headless Chickens take India back to the dark ages

They do not have the numbers in the Parliament. We have two unfortunate states having the pleasure of communist revolution and hence hold the numbers to destroy rest of the country as well. I am sure Congress will be back with decent number of seats if polls are held now.

Electricity
by Aby Kurian on Aug 21, 2007 09:54 PM  Permalink

Who complains about power cuts throughout the country. Why do they happen? Because our conuntry does not generate enough power.

This deal is going to give us enough fuel so that we can do away with atleast some of those powercuts. ie more free electricity to those who get it.(Even this is possible only if there is electricity to give) The only people who can oppose this deal are ignoramuses or deshdrohis.

Even sane people like BJP when they were ruling can behave totally stupidly when in the opposition. My vote and everydody's who I can convice will go to congress if Manmohan singh still manages to head this govt after this idiotic ruckus

USA is NOT making with India for free!

USA is NOT making with India for free!

USA Nuclear technology is saved because of this. They will get business of 100s of Billions of Dollars.

Yes, Indian Companies (Tata, Reliance, L&T, Vedanta) will also grow.

India must bargain hard with USA. Alas, under UPA with weakest Prime Minister MMS , they can't do it.

USA and West Created Pakistan by pampering Muslims. And supported Pakistan so far.

When West itself under attack from Islamists, jehadis, they are understanding importance of India.

We MUST bargain hard, get more out of this deal. Because USA needs India as well.
