stand by energy resource.
by simy sebastian on Aug 21, 2007 10:46 AM  Permalink

India should opt US nuclear deal as a stand by energy resource. India should not fully depend on the US nuclear fuel which will make Indians victims if we analyze US history.

123 not bad if we plan a long way
by Pankaj Bhalla on Aug 21, 2007 10:46 AM  Permalink

I don't think this is a bad deal if our current diplomats have in there mind the following things:-
1)We will try our best to develop the technology of thorium reactors.
2)We will not support U.S. blindly on any matter
As we all now India needs for energy is very high and we cannot fulfill our energy requirement without atomic energy plant further we have no requirement for an another nuke test
in near future. If we fulfill our energy requirement and become a global power then US will never go against india evenif we do Nuke test because The World always Salutes the Power.

do u think there will be nuclear war in future??
by Hiren Vora on Aug 21, 2007 10:36 AM  Permalink

India needs progress, we indian need progress.. We are short of energy resources. Nuclear energy is best for us, less emission of gases.

Why left is thinking abt nuclear test, i believe india has enough nuclear bomb technology. why we need more nuclear test. all the countries(super powers) have stopped testing it and also signed NPT.

No country can take a risk of firing nuclear bomb at other country. many countries developed nuclear bomb and test it. did anyone fire after US (hirosima and nagasaki). no one did. no one can do it.

i believe the best option for india is to forget abt nuclear bombs and think abt nuclear energy. it is in best interest of country.

Well.. Marad was definitely a case a communal riot, but it was simply blown out of propotion, cause such things doesnt happen often in kerala. As far as i can remember less than 10 people died in the incident. Compare it to other instances of communal violence in the country and you will see the difference.

btw Marad was not a communal riot. it was a planned attack. George it doesnt help to whitewash stuff. Told u not to paint it...Call a spade a spade. By simply terming it communal violence u are sidelining it.

It is unfortunate that Left has taken anti national stand, but in democratic set up and the type of constitution, we have, no alternative, Face backgear.

Who are these Left ?
by Gumpy on Aug 21, 2007 10:14 AM  Permalink  | Hide replies

Friends, who are these left that are opposing the Nuke deal - lets get to some history about them..
1. These left are the same people who had got several Indian freedom fighter arrested during World War 2, 1945-46, at Soviet Russia's instance.

2. these Left are the very same people who has taken China's side when 1967 Indo-Chinese war broke out.

3. Today they want to stop the Nuke deal the the instance of China's Communist party.

Can we Indians trust these very same Left with India's national interest ? Think yourself after carefully going thru history.

dont quote history wrong. India-china war was 1962. Let me tell you, we all Indians are short of confidence ready to accept the supremacy of whites. Why beg US by compromising our sovereignity? What bothers you to have a committee to dwell into the implications of hyde act?

The point is not about left or right joker. It is about US soliders walking into your homes and tying you down saying you have the right to remain silent. You dumb people dont understand the over all implications and talk about left and right. It could be possible that there are political agendas behind it. But that does not mean we give away our Soverignity to some so called World leaders and stand their begging for their approval for even going to our bathrooms within our houses.

by bvvp prasad on Aug 21, 2007 10:13 AM  Permalink

Make a caluse that if Indian wants to do a N-Test it should take prior permission and under the Supervision of International Automic Energy Body. That will solve all the problems.

Do not bother about Red Brigade, Dr.Sing you go on you way.

Even in future if BJP form a Government, they will stike to it, as they carry-on your liberalisation, globalisation, policies. TThe BJP is not that much mean as you think.
