It is unfortunate that our supposed independent intellectuals are bonded labours
by biz Narayan on Aug 21, 2007 12:41 PM  Permalink  | Hide replies

It was intresting article. in 1988- Anita Pratap, unfortunately in CNN , talked disgracefully in CNN, as if she was hounded by women eating animals. She appropriated the govt opinion as her own, let her cool evapourating into nuclear heat and probably burrowed the leftist line. If one watched CNN outside, there was ugly speaking people, instead of the rising chand, in ones own desh. More hysteria was followed soon.

How is that all our intellectuals did an u-turn and forget all these, couldn;t one of them poked a fun and absurdity of this situation.

Our intellectuals have forgotten all these.

1) In the end it was foolish on the part of Congress that they took the support of such black-mailers as the Left? All this with the intention of grabbing power (excuse is to prevent so called communal forces from coming to power). If not this Nuclear Deal, the Left would have found something else (as most political parties do - remember the withdrawal of support by Rajiv Gandhi just because there was a sentry, from some particular state, posted in front of his house ).

2) If the Congress was sincere in its intention, it should have involved the major political parties in negotiating this deal. But they did not do this. Probably just to ensure that the entire credit goes to themselves. If they had involved the opposition also, we would not have seen such strident opposition. Remember PVN sending Mr. Vajpayee to the UN to represent India and the kind of effect that had.

3) With a little bit of compromise on ideologies (in the interest of the Nation), it would be better if the Congress and BJP come togather. This is waht has been suggested even by people like Lord Meganadh Desai. But, the Congress does not even seem to recognise the BJP as an Oppostion party. They are allowing their own ally to take even this space. Even during all this blackmail by the Left, the Congress has not even sought to talk to the BJP and attepmt to try to get some support.

It seems that the Congress deserves what it is getting and unfortunately the Interest of the Nation seems to have be

The last line is :

"It seems that the Congress deserves what it is getting and unfortunately the Interest of the Nation seems to have been lost in all this."

Instead of hitting below the belt by linking him to the 'mandir masjid fiasco', counter his arguments point by point, if you have any thing worthwhile to say. I don't know him, but Ram Madhav did not partition the country on religious lines.

Nuclear deal is a very important milestone in india history
by sandeep thakur on Aug 21, 2007 11:07 AM  Permalink

I think in current scenario, ManMohan singh is the
only person who can lead india to be a economic and military superpower, we should never forget what we are right now are because of the decision taken by him then FM in 1992. He is very true in parliament when he quoted future will tell the truth.
The LEFT parties are antinational we all know the state of WB ruled by these MF's . They are opposing deal on instigation of china. We can not isolate ourself in todays world. we have to choose parters. The BJP had only one good person call atal now see the state of there petty level politics.
The nuclear deal will benefit us in many ways. its not all abt nuclear fuel. its a strategic partnership plus access to cutting edge technology.

Ram Madhav - Why are you silent on BJP????
by Hot Air on Aug 21, 2007 10:30 AM  Permalink  | Hide replies

Mr. Ram Madhav,
You are no better than the Communists that you are pouring your venom on!!!! Why are you silent on the fact that the BJP is also opposed to the Nuclear Deal.
People like you, your organization, the BJP, the Communists etc. (basically, every political party) have absolutely no interest in the well-being on India. All you care about is how to belittle the other person/party, how to cheat/mislead others into believing that I'm good etc.
Please turn the light inward before accusing others of chicanery. Your protege (BJP) is as much an opportunist as your nemesis(Communists).

BJP has a right to oppose the deal because it wishes that India retain the right to conduct tests. Communists forfeited that right when they chose to condemn the 1998 test so venomously and for such narrow political ends.

We can clearly visualise the very attitude of the communists. They were deadly opposing the Pokran test when conducted for the national security pupose. Now they are talking of N-Test.
They should ensure public to which nation they belong to.
They should oppose even china if it carries interest against our nation.
Both will never happens. People should wipe out these durty creatures from Indian Political Map. There ends all our problems.
