Dear Sir, I agree with your assesment that India is not in hurry to loose it's sovereignty in return of this out dated technology N-Deal.Our scientists are capable to find out the answer .What is required a Will to do it. One thing I have not under stood-why Dr. Singh all through have been telling lies and misleading Country /Parliament?Is there any 'BAFOR' in it? What ever may be the reason, the deal will fracture our social 'SECULAR' fibre, the moment India takes any step against Iran or any other Muslim's Country under pressure of USA.This is perhaps the sole cause that the Political parties are working against it. Ours is the land of 'PEACE' and a Home of multi religion. We want peaceful existence then electricity and richness as we believe in 'KARMA'. I feel this deal will act adversly against CONGRESS as it has already exposed it and exhibited it's SECULAR ideology.Present Congress's leadership has voted against IRAN,who has always stood with INDIA in it's hard time.Who will believe it's Secular sologan?

The first sensible post after a long time. People blindly want to follow US, just bcoz they are giving software coolie jobs.
even ifStrategic thinker K Subrahmanyam, whose line of thought on the nuclear deal can be said to be similar to that of the prime minister, told rediff.com, "If India does not proceed with the deal it is a clear message to Russia [Images], France [Images], Germany [Images], Japan and other powers who want to see a multi-polar world that India does not want to play a role in that world."
Subrahmanyam is worried that not only will India lose an opportunity, "It will also leave Asia to be dominated by China. It will allow Indian talent to be exploited by the US without giving India access to high technology in the international sphere," he says. "China has used Pakistan as a surrogate threat to India by arming it with missiles and nuclear weapons. Now our domestic opposition will come in handy in keeping India down perpetually."
India continues with this Nuke deal, same thing happens i think so Indirectly we are selling ourselves to USA. this is my personal thinking. they have destroyed Iraq and now warning Iran. Same thing may happen to other Asian countries also in future. i am afraid. We should make our country self sufficient. Let our so called our foriegn settled scientists return to mother land and serve here. Most of the scientists of USA are Asians. For the sake of technology, we are leaving our mother land to others. Indian System has a strong root to care of Indian Needs. We need not beg in front of others. As an ordinary person this is my opinio
The CPI M is opposing. The logic is what ever they say is bad for india must actually be good for us. So the deal must definately be good for India. About BJP I am sure their MPs dont even know what a nuclear reactor is. All they know is about temples and riots. Doubt if anyone among them even know what thorium or uranium mean.
Our scientists have approved of the deal and they know what we want. This time atleast I am supporting congress
The 123 agreement, should have been drafted taking into consideration all the controversial issues. US are happy, bcoz they have India under NPT and now their companies will get the contract for Nuke Power stations. India has been shown as a weak and submissive country.
Section-123 of the United States Atomic Energy Act of 1954-establishes an agreement for co-operation as a pre-requisite for nuclear deals between the US and any other nation. We ,the common people of India do not know the pros and cons of this deal.Govt should disclose the facts and figures which are hidden in the agreement and benefits that we derive from the agreement and its consequences.Govt should ensure that the agreement will not prevent India`s future ability to develop and pursue Nuclear Technologies for the benefit of the Nation. This deal aims to give India access to US Nuclear fuel and equipment for the first time in three decades. We should not sacrifice our National interest at the cost of other nation. The deal should be discussed in the parliament and evolve a consensus which is needed for our developmental activities and progress and prosperity of the Nation.

Dear Sir, We must thank Left, who has opposed this deal out rightly. Please do't misunderstand,it is the only party in INDIA,where inner party democracy exist. What it means that the leadership has gone through threadbare. It is not CONGRESS where 'FATHWAS' are issued to Dr.Singh to do or leave. In the present conditions the opposition of Left is being admired through out.

It is the UPA policy of covert and hidden drafting of the deal which is causing the bottleneck. They have only themselves to blame.
Whatever the mechanism takes place to overcome the 'logjam', the present leader will be hereafterwards a 'lameduck' due to the situations himself brought in.

He hasnt arosen this situation. If some one keeps putting stone in your way every time, then once in a while you will kick that stone off..
We have to bear in mind that we Indians are multifaceted and spread all throughout the world. It is only in the last decade that real appreciation of us Indians is truly visible. One can check it out with any Indian residing abroad. In this global scenario, we have to have excellent relation with US where technological advantage exists and will exist for the next three to five decades. The need of the hour for us Indians in India is to improve the living standards especially of the poorest of the poor. Here comes energy into the picture. Electrical energy is one such need that can and will revolutionize the living standard of one and all, immaterial of the social status, as it exists today. What better opportunity has come India%u2019s way in the last 50 years? This deal should not be missed at any cost. The left, middle and the right have to come together and sort out their differences before it is too late. History will not be kind to the opponents to this deal if it falls short of implementation. We Indians have to now take responsibilities on the world arena rather then get bogged down with %u2018Ifs and Butt%u2019s%u2019.
