TIME IS RUNNING OUT. POLITICS IS DIFFERENT... NUCLEAR POLICIES ARE DIFFERENT, SPECIALLY WHEN NOT ONLY INDIA, BUT THE WHOLE WORLD IS BEING PUSHED TO A VERGE OF DEVASTATION. .....BY THE SHORTSIGHTED ENEMIES OF PLANET EARTH. THEY ARE INHUMAN AND INTOXICATED BY ADAMENCE OF SELF RIGHTEOUS PLANS EITHER TO OWN UP OR DESTROY THE WORLD. THEIR PROCESS OF THINKING IS " IF WE DO NOT GET WHAT WE WANT WHY OTHERS SHOULD GET AND SURVIVE TOO. "
THEY FORGET THAT THE PLANET HAS TO BE ENJOYED, SHARED AND UTILISED FOR THE BENEFIT OF ALL, BY ALL INHABITANTS.
WISDOM LIES IN RISING TO THE OCCASION AND PROTECT THE PLANET FROM DESTRUCTION. WE CAN NOT THINK LIKE CITIZENS OF A COUNTRY.....WE ARE DESTINED TO THINK AS HUMANS OF A PLANET THAT HAS TO BE KEPT GOING FOR HUMAN SURVIVAL.
SATISFYING EGOS OF A SECTION OF THE POPULATION OF A COUNTRY DOES NOT STAND THE REASONING OF THE SURVIVAL OF A HUMAN RACE.
IT IS THE RIGHT OF ALL HUMANS, NOT FLAG WIELDING POLITICIANS OR LILLIPUTS OF A SPECK OF CIVILLIZATION.

New Delhi, Aug. 22: Energy from imported nuclear reactors will cost three times as much as that available from coal-fired power plants and will on an average meet just about three to five per cent of the national power demand. Technocrats working on the basis of available government figures have reached the firm conclusion that nuclear energy will not meet more than five per cent of the total primary energy basket, with 40 per cent of the nation%u2019s future energy needs being met by oil and gas.
The claim that nuclear energy is linked to growth is false, these experts point out, as India%u2019s reliance on hydrocarbons will not diminish even with imported nuclear reactors. The experts have quoted from a Planning Commission study (Integrated Energy Policy, 2006, Planning Commission), which admits to be taking the most optimistic scenario when it points out the best-case scenario for nuclear power to be 15,000MW by 2015 and 29,000 MW by 2021. These targets include 8,000MW from imported reactors.
Even by this %u201Coptimistic scenario%u201D, as the Planning Commission calls it, nuclear energy will add only up to seven per cent of the total installed capacity. And if the government%u2019s unsubstantiated claim of producing 40,000MW of nuclear energy by 2020 is given even hypothetical credence, the end figure is still less than nine per cent. The experts pointed out that the more realistic estimate, even by government statistics, was closer to the 3-5 per cent figure.

well...the recent discussion in US media is dairy product prices are going up ...Y corn which is the back bone of diary is being used in ethanol production, some one said 50 million acrs of deforestation is required to increase production of corn ...so one suggested that America needs to lower it's dependency over ehtnanol and swithch to nuclear power or coal !!! Now lets take India ... with such a huge population pressure ...our only way out is to lower our rgo little bit and say not to bombs and yes to more energy and power to feed our hungry mass....
With the current threat of withdrawl support to UPA in due with the nuclear deal. Left parties are trying to make huge amount of money for coming elections till now there was not much chance they had got, as there is a little time left for next elections they got banged on the nuclear deal to make full utilize of the oppurtunity by converting it to a big amount of deal of money as to continue the government at the centre till 2009 lok sabha elections. if left parties are really sincere in there demands they must quit & withdrawl the support immediately at the centre. but giving "damki" in the morning and getting "cooled" in the night, is that make any sense? this is all big drama which will make news for media. nothing benificial for common man. why these all politicians cannot understand common man problem and do the needful. no control on price rising in essential commodities, vegetables, bank interest rates.
