If Congress can get BJP's tradional votes then definitely they can get some Communist votes too. Half of the communists are for the deal !
Some hard thinking to be done at Congress HQ. The moment they announce 'poll' the LEFT is going to run for shelter !

N-deal fallout: Congress says not wary of elections
by Ananthasivan Nellepalli Nilakanta on Aug 19, 2007 04:04 PM  Permalink

I appreciate the statement of Senior Congress leader Digvijay Singh. Congress should not be afraid of the leftists. They have no agenda just to object anything and everything. There one agenda is to support China and against US. Prime Minister is an Indian and he will not sell our country to US. BJP should support the congress at this juncture. They should bear in mind that these are the people they started and should teach a lesson to the Leftists.

You're right man. BJP was forced to oppose these deals by 2004 elections. We, all then eligible voters were responsible for that.

BJP....Shame
by Pradeep Kumar on Aug 19, 2007 03:35 PM  Permalink  | Hide replies

There is no doubt that this deal is good for India. The Left is opposing it because they are marxists and its a part of their ideologue. But what about the BJP shamelessly rejecting the deal, this rogue party does not think for the good of the country and i appeal to all sections of society not to vote for them in any election because this party is just a power monger and does not think for the good of everyone in this country

The Opportunistic Double-speak!
by Radhakrishna Iyer on Aug 19, 2007 03:33 PM  Permalink

When the 123 agreement was just signed and the P.M. took the BJP into confidence and discussed the details of the deal they seem content. In fact we did read in some of the newspapers that BJP took credit for the deal saying that it was because of their pressure that we got the deal what we got from the US!

However the second the Chinese tail started wagging in anger the BJP changed their tune and looking at an opportunity to embarrass if not to bring down the government they are now singing a different tune.

Talk about a responsible opposition!!!!

LET US BE CLEAR......
by UmaShankar SathyaKumar on Aug 19, 2007 03:32 PM  Permalink

In the real NEW world, America need India and India need America.... In a multi-polar world, America has very few friends...countless enemies....It is necessary and in the best interest of Americans to work with Indians to be friends...

The US government debt grows by about $1.3 billion per day and has now crossed more than $13.2 trillion dollars. The US private household debt has now crossed more than $14.7 trillion and half of these debts have been incurred after 1998. The fact is that the expanding consumer debt drives the US economy. The US treasury receives about $1.3 trillion from taxes, the Indo-US nuclear deal is $25 billions and there are several sales by US to follow such as Boeing planes, F-16s, space technology..... The US now very desperately needs a growing partner and friendly country to make more money with depleting US economy. Also, a big voice to support its decisions from Asia on its foreign policies.

America is bankrupt. So, they need ASIAN money to buy their bread and butter by selling Nuke or whatsoever technology....

There is nothing wrong to get the nuke technology. If they try to screw India, screw them back like they have done to Germans in 1940-70's. USE AMERICA....

The lefts in Bengal made millions poor!! That%u2019s their big achievement to date..... Please.... NEVER VOTE TO LEFTS....

At least economic policies of Manmohan made millions of Indians to eat three meals a day.. I am one among them...

Jai Hind
