by srinivas iragavarapu on Aug 19, 2007 06:54 PM  Permalink

If mid term elections occur ,all developmental programmes will stop. Undue public expenditure for elections destabilises economy, and communists will be exposed in their blackmail drama.

'LEFT' WITH NO CHOICE, 'RIGHT' WILL BE WRONG!
by Agnel Pereira on Aug 19, 2007 06:52 PM  Permalink  | Hide replies

Soon, Left will be left out of the equation - its time people get decisive to teach them a lesson. India's leftist centric policies till 1991 have proved dangerous for India. Our embrace of Russia has proved disastrous in the past. Its time for us to wake up to the American dreams.

And the Right, ie BJP, will be proved wrong for its indecision and insincerity. They are doing the "Dog in the Manger" tactics, that Dr Singh has succeeded in what they failed to achieve is a hard nut to swallow. Shame on BJPs 19th century attitude.

Yes, its time that India wakes up to a new India where economic development is matched with social upliftment that is taking place under Dr Singh's able leadership. The 'Left' should be left out of it and the 'Right' should be denied to the BJP. Rule Dr Singh.

Very well said. It is expected of BJP to support (rather the oppose) the UPA particularly Dr Singh, who is instrumental in operationalizing the deal.If left backs out than BJP should support UPA to avoid mid-term polls considering BJP had been pro-US during its regime and also deal will benefit India in its long term. Left is working at the behest of China, who is strongly opposed to the deal as it fears its domination might be sub-dued in the region due to India-US ties.Need of the hour is two great democracies get along and forge ahead for their mutual interests.

The BJP has clearly stated that this deal is not what they negotiated. Manmohan singh has signed the deal on American terms. And the Hyde act is the biggest problem

PM .. Please take this Path ....
by Sanjay Reddy on Aug 19, 2007 06:42 PM  Permalink  | Hide replies

PM should do only the following :-

a) Call lefts bluff and go ahead with the deal with the americans as then India will be with the global stream

b) Take BJP more into confidence as it is a party which believes in India's interest more than any leftist has ever been. If it does this then BJP will definitely support the Congress

c) After getting BJP on your side go for an immediate vote in Parliament and defeat the designs of the left

d) PM should never listen to Pranab, Ahmed Patel and the so called advisors to Sonia Gandhi as this coterie has always led leaders down the path of destruction.

Take this path and the PM will win.

Yes u are correct. Instead oof slightly left of centre govt, it will be slightly right of centre govt.

It is good if congress asks bjp for support for the next two years and bjp extends support for next two years

You are absolutely right. Congress should give due respect to BJP and take them into confidence. If Congress does that then BJP will behave as a responsible opposition and support the govt on legitimate issues. But if Congress treats BJP like dirt then BJP will be compelled to reciprocate the same.

MILTARY RULE
by s k on Aug 19, 2007 06:32 PM  Permalink

Some one in this forum mentioned miltary rule. Let take a minute to ponder if this deal would have been signed if India was under miltary rule.

The anser is a BIG YES , our miltary straetgists are brilliant enough to see thru the fact that this deal will not harm our security interests but will rather make us invincible because of our growing economy which would mean growing miltary budet.

Left and BJP are a holes, Manmohan is a forward thinking statesman first and a politician next and thats why from 1991 to this day he thinks for the country's future and not for the votes like BJP a holes, who bring up the hindu-muslim divide for cheap votes.

Nuke deal and Left
by Dipankar Dutta on Aug 19, 2007 06:29 PM  Permalink

I feel Left is opposing the nuke deal because it does not like USA. They are not clear about the deal. Moreover our PM also should clear the doubts about the deal to all citizen and the reason why Left is opposing. Left can not be trusted in long run. It is their habit to say sorry at later stage. They have blundered in many cases in the past, like comments on Subhas bose, like Jyoti Basu becoming PM etc. So people of India know the left (CPI-M) very clearly. I have full trust on our existing PM.

LET US BE CLEAR......
by UmaShankar SathyaKumar on Aug 19, 2007 06:03 PM  Permalink

In the real NEW world, America need India and India need America.... In a multi-polar world, America has very few friends...countless enemies....It is necessary and in the best interest of Americans to work with Indians to be friends...

The US government debt grows by about $1.3 billion per day and has now crossed more than $13.2 trillion dollars. The US private household debt has now crossed more than $14.7 trillion and half of these debts have been incurred after 1998. The fact is that the expanding consumer debt drives the US economy. The US treasury receives about $1.3 trillion from taxes, the Indo-US nuclear deal is $25 billions and there are several sales by US to follow such as Boeing planes, F-16s, space technology..... The US now very desperately needs a growing partner and friendly country to make more money with depleting US economy. Also, a big voice to support its decisions from Asia on its foreign policies.

America is bankrupt. So, they need ASIAN money to buy their bread and butter by selling Nuke or whatsoever technology....

There is nothing wrong to get the nuke technology. If they try to screw India, screw them back like they have done to Germans in 1940-70's. USE AMERICA....

The lefts in Bengal made millions poor!! That%u2019s their big achievement to date..... Please.... NEVER VOTE TO LEFTS....

At least economic policies of Manmohan made millions of Indians to eat three meals a day.. I am one among them...

Jai Hind
