The US now very desperately needs a growing partner and friendly country to make more money with depleting US economy. Also, a big voice to support its decisions from Asia on its foreign policies.
America is bankrupt. So, they need ASIAN money to buy their bread and butter by selling Nuke or whatsoever technology....
There is nothing wrong to get the nuke technology. If they try to screw India, screw them back like they have done to Germans in 1940-70's. USE AMERICA....

Is that true? LOL! Did Jawahar Lal Nehru took the nation and its party into confidence when he gave away Kashmir to Pakis by agreeing to UN intervention? Did he do the same when he declined the offer of making India a member of Permenant Member of UN Security Council (and instead suggested China to be a member?).
Even if he says he is a critic of this deal with US, I have my doubts if he is speaking for India's interests. After all, Left and other commies are also against the deal - right?
Where do these diplomats crop up from at such times? Oh, I forget, it is Sheela Bhatt who is interviewing - she is quite apt at locating persons who don't matter :)

these people can not digest current world position that US is a lone superpower.they are emotionally attached to soviet union , iran etc
Russia is a late entry, It has helped us giving Vital supplies when US backed out at Tarapur.
Now 2x1000MW capacity plants at KundanKulam are Russian design and gauranteed with Russian fuel supplies. Many other Totally Indian designed and built reactors are on Russian Fuel.
India is thankfull to Russia but need to broad base its supplies for equipment as well as fuel

ashok, russia will not supply any fuel to india untill and unless india will sign nuclear deal with US, IAEA AND NGS.russia will not do anything against the wishes of US . RUSSIA use their best diplomats to lobby congress and state depatment
The American carmakers are losing in US their homeground and in India, Chevrolet is doing well, Ford is doing well. However, still some foolish people think that India needs US and not vice versa.
Tell the Americans to hell with your Wall Mart, Boeing (we will give contract to Carrefour, Airbus), they will kneel down and beg India to set terms for their Nuclear contract.

India is going for Airbus as well as Carrefour also. We also are going to have Walmart and we have boing also.
We also already have RELIANCE.
It is going to be competitive environment. Unfortunately we do not have any competing group from Russia or China.
Dear Mr. Prime Minster may the deal go to hell but first kick left from who is blackmailing u everytime and silence till they warm up their pockets. The people of india very much dissatisfied with Left.
