There should be a full debate on this nuclear deal in parliament. So far Left parties did not come out with any specific statement that hurts their sentiments and the interests of the country or its sovereignity. What excatly is the problem with the agreement according to the Left ? Can they come with a single statement outlining some or part of paragraphs of the Indo-US nuclear deal which is harmful to the country? And BJP has been much worse at least in this case. They also could not come out with any specific statement which is solely based on the actual agreement. Dr.Manmohan Singh is known for taking major decisons. As a finance minister of the country during P.V.Narasimha Rao's government he suddenly took a major decision to devalue the rupee against the dollar. Try to remember ? It was the same reaction by the left parties as is today about nuclear deal with US. But waht happened was that india' fortunes took a big turn for better and we see today a resurgent ,powerful India on the path of growth. Now he took another major decision to have nucler deal with US to solve power shortages for a fast growing India once and for all. Let us believe the Left all for their honesty and let them have their time in parliament so that truth is known to the general public. Let us have brainstorming session on this issue so that left comes out clearly what bothers them.

1. chineese govt supports LEFTs in india. but is the ISI also supporting them. both china and pakistan are very very happy - as both the countries do not want this deal to happen.
2. indian left parties wants to fill its cofferes and blackmail congress party about the elections in keral and bengal for not contesting.
3.BJP is only doing its role. they would very much want the nuclear deal. however they cannot accept it under the congress rule. earlier they praised - : saying the officials have done great work --blah blah. once the left started opposing it - they are now in favour of mid term polls
4. all parties are supposed to take india forward - be it in ruling and opposition. but they will not all say yes to something which will take care of our energy solutions in coming decade.. at the rate india is growing, we badly require the energy to provide for the houses, industries, and the electrical vehicles which will replace most of petrol and diesel vehicles
WHY WOULD ANYONE WANT TO OPPOSE THE DEAL IN INDIA, WHEN PAKISTAN AND CHINA BOTH ARE AGAINST IT AND ARE NOW HAPPY THAT ITS NOT HAPPENING ?

I pity you for clubing this issue also with relegion. If there were no christian missinory schools, majority of indian citizen would have remained uneducated. Check the fact and figures of prominent education institutions. Try to talk of nationality rather than relegion.

Mr.Thomas, there are negligible number of christian missionery schools in India. There are lots of schools with national and regional language mediums. Don't be under the impression that the educated class comes only from christian schools. I myself am not educated even in an English medium school, but I am well educated and I KNOW English, perhaps better than what they teach in your schools. And there are millions like me. So you need not pity anybody. In fact we pity you and your likes for complacency! Your statement is like a frog thinking that well it lives in is the universe and there is nothing beyond it! China or Japan also teach in local languages and they are two of such very great nations. Your mentality seems to be those of the British, who once used to say that sun never sets on their empire. Now times have changed and we doubt if the sun ever rises on their empire! So wake up and don't undermine anything outside your well sir
it is right that this issue should not b combined with religion. but u r 100% wrong in saying that without christian missionay schools, we would have remained uneducated.
english medium is killing the indian languages and scientific scripts. for learning english, it has to b taught as a language only and not as the medium, as is done all over the world. it is also a wrong notion that is bcoz of english that we r progressing fast. how is china progressing? why v r progressing faster than usa, uk, australia etc, which r english speaking?
moreover what percentage of people r from missionary schools?
u r requested not to give undue credit to these schools, just bcoz u r a christian. these r tools of converting people to christianity and to destroy indian languages and culture.
China is controlling the govt. in india through Communists, they don't want development in india and always put their best effort in helping India to become slave of China.

Don't generalize bengalis as Anti-Indian's..I am not a commi..but i don't like slavery of the US as many here preffer..then i shud say southies are anti-Indian..but i don't generalize or have such a narrow mentality or Low level IQ.I love my country and my country men from all states and religions. Bengali's living in villages were terrorized to vote for commies..thr are many who don't support the Left, but are forced to.
But here is the question..do u want 2 be slave of US or want to stand in our own feet.It's the power to think differnet that matters.There has to be a Parliamentary debate and if it helps India then why not..but not at the cost of hard earned freedom.
