K'taka:Will JD-S hand over power to BJP?
by Bodh Ramdeo on Aug 17, 2007 07:55 PM  Permalink

Indians are the ultimate coniving opportunists, that's why India has been ruled by foreigners for millenia - because selfish treacherous Indians sold out their country for selfish personal gain.
This scenario is reapeated again and again and again by selfish opportunistic corrupt netas who stand for nothing, but their own personal gain - they jump party at the drop of a hat if the money or position is right. And that's why India will never be anything but a huge stinking cesspool. And all this talk of the great Indian democracy is one huge farce - is this democracy where govts are bartered away for personal gain?
At least China, with it's totalitarian govt can charge ahead precisley because she doesn't have to deal with such hypocracy - and gets things done, unlike India where nothing works!

Power transfer if Kumaraswamy shows the will
by mohan br on Aug 17, 2007 06:02 PM  Permalink

If Kumaraswamy shows courage to go against his dad, he will survive in the political future of the state. If he decides to play to his dad's foolish gimmicks, he will be history in the state's political future. He has to decide. If he goes with his father, both of them will lose the next election. How we wish the Gowda's become extinct from karnataka's political map.

Power should be handed to BJP
by P Zipk on Aug 17, 2007 05:29 PM  Permalink

JS-D should hand over the power to BJP as soon as possible. That was the deal. If they break the deal, I hope the people of Karnataka should punish them in the next elections.

Some how I have a feeling that people of karnataka are not that politically savvy.

If not, JD-S will have to pay.
by Teesmar Khan on Aug 17, 2007 04:53 PM  Permalink  | Hide replies

If JD-S fails or refuses to hand over Karnataka govt to BJP, it will have to reply in the court of public in next elections, which are not very far. On the other hand, if BJP gets Karnataka, they will have to reply the same. In any case Congress may gain there, because people of Karnataka are same fools as of U.P.

Dear Mr.Khan,

If you trace the history of Mr.Gowda, you will notice that he ditched his friends and alliance partners depending upon the circumstances and the need. First he ditched Mr.Ramakrishna Hegde, then Mr.Bommai, then Congress, and now he has partnered with BJP to be in power. Now the time has arrived to handover power to BJP. We need to wait and watch whether he will handover power smoothly to BJP or not. He might talk to Congress, ditch BJP for now, to be in power again. One shd be very careful in dealing or before trusting Mr.Gowda and his sons, because histroy proved that they are chameleons. After all these, before elections, he will campaign that he is only a poor farmer of Karnataka, and people will also buy his story/natak and give him some seats with which he will again start bargaining with major parties and behave like a king maker!

With best wishes,

Srinivasan.

You are very right Mr. Iyer. Gowda is probably one of the most selfish and opportunistic politician in the country. He has only himself and his family in mind all the time... He will do anything to grab power... In fact he is the sole obstacle in th development of Karnataka and especially Bangalore which is reeling under unprecedented growth and infrastructure woes.. He is not allowing Metro, BMIC projects to progress - giving reasons that they are anti-poor projects, while his grand sons are roaming in Expensive imported cars!!

Karnataka: Will JD-S hand over power to BJP?
by my message on Aug 17, 2007 04:50 PM  Permalink

Even if the JD(S) hands over power to the BJP, they will not allow the BJP to work smoothly. The BJP will be better off alone even if in the opposition. It is a pity that Karnataka has to endure such a situation.

Will JD-S handover power to BJP?
by Shridhar Iyer on Aug 17, 2007 03:28 PM  Permalink  | Hide replies

I know for sure that Mr.Deva Gowda and his family are power hungry wolves. With a few MPs, by chance, he became the PM of this country. Now his party is corroded to a small State, and in the State also he has only a few MLAs. By changing sides depending upon the need of the hour, or ditching alliance partners at opportune times, he and his family are trying to cling on to power somehow.

We have to blame BJP only to trust such chameleon people. However Mr.Gowda has been claiming that he is a poor farmer!. Even if they have agreeed, they should have insisted on ruling first. Now Mr.Kumarasamy is enacting drama by staying in common peoples' huts once a while, by alighting from helicopters!. They ditched Congress and sided with BJP to remain in power, and now they want to be friendly with Congress, again to continue to remain in power. I wish why the people of Karnataka teach them a lesson of their life time.

With best wishes,
Srinivasan.

Before making friendship with such opportune parties, one has to be extremely cautious, or else they will be cheated or taken for granted.

yup you are correct. there is no way that JD is going to transfer the power. after all the melodrama(son dad split natak) they had to go through to get the power they won't let it go so easily.
