I KNOW THAT THAT INDIA HAS THE SOVEREIGN RIGHT TO CONDUCT NUCLEAR TESTS BUT WHAT IS NOT CLEAR IS IF INDIA CONDUCTS A NUCLEAR TEST WILL THE HYDE ACT COME INTO EFFECT AND THUS STOP US AND OTHER NSG GROUP MEMBERS FROM SUPPLYING URANIUM TO INDIA.THE PRIME M INISTER MUST CLARIFY THIS POSITION. IN OTHER WORDS INDIA'S SECURITY INTEREST IS IN THE HANDS OF US CONGRESS.
Experience shows that being friends with America is selling your soul to the devil. They start off as being very good and decent about it all. Slowly but surely, their demands increase until you wonder what the issue was in the first place. Making any deal with America is a question of doing something in haste and repenting at leisure. No matter how long you took to dot the i and cross the ts.
I have no faith in the USA. Today my country Pakistan is learning what I am saying. We started off with granting the USA access to Afghanistan and logistics support. Today after deploying over 100,000 troops along our border which is more than the total NATO and Afghan troop deployment and taking nearly twice the number of US and NATO casualties, we are being told we are not doing enough. We aern\'t supposed to be doing anything in the first place. We are suffering from the effects of the American incursion into Afghanistan and our government has played into the American hands.
Learn from our experience, befriending America is a kiss of death. You in India may have a nuclear imperative but believe me the Americans are the wrong way to go about it.
In the course of this deal, India will wind up giving America naval bases in the bay of bengal because of the Straits of Malaccas. That is the USA\'s interest. They want India to counter China and it will end in your fighting in the eastern part of India. There is an ongoing insurgency there.
As Americans have announced that hence forth any tests by Indians and the Treaty will be off and all the Uranium or the Nuclear fuel will be demanded back. Now this should be concern to every Indian. What has our Govt negotiated there? Mr. Mukergee is blowing air unilaterlly. PLease covey the Americans more stiffly what we want out the whole thing. Or we were better the way we are now. Soon you are going to have most Pyjama Clad Jihadis across the border walking with Nukes and as for us we dont need to take American perrmission to counter this threat.
If India does not use the uranium supplied for civilian purposes for exploding nuclear device, why should it bother anyone and how would that effect the N-Deal.
That is the angle ,India should be working on,in seeking repprochement on the N-Deal.
The US and Russians have over 500,000 nuclear weapons. Why does not bother anyone ? When are they going to dismantle these WMD.

You paki mullah is waiting for a chance to dismantle those weapons? So, you can go ahead w/ your agenda?
What can one expect from the geriatric hide-bound troglodytes now running this inept, useless, do-nothing govt. These aging dinosaurs who should've been put out to pasture eons ago, are still tenaciously clinging to power with every breath and ounce of strength they possess, and unless some real drastic actions are taken real schnell-like, this land is in danger of being perennially run into the muck by successive hordes of doddering old farts way past thier sell-by date.

Haha, very well written Mr. Ramdeo. You write like P.G. Wodehouse.
I don't where else to start this line of message. In their series on India, BBC interviewed Pranab Mukherjee. What a pathetic show of talent it was. No wonder the West holds the view of general third world countries.
Not even a single question was answered straight. To a great question like Where do you see India 10-15 years from now, ( instead of giving a confident and bold answer in the lines of India will be a super power, confident, strong etc) the Bengali Babu blabbers something to the effect of you dont know what the future will hold, change is the only constant.
Such a question was a full toss meant to be hit out of the stadium.
Pathetic, Pathetic, Pathetic.
I am really worried at such leadership representing India in world forum.
