A storm in a teacup
by Vishal Kale on Aug 14, 2007 11:50 AM  Permalink  | Hide replies

This is what is meant by storm in a tea-cup. The anthem is seriously insulted by all and sundry in daily life... but no one says anything. One superachieving non-political Indian makes a comment, and it is taken to court!
What we need is a national awakening, not knee jerk reactions. How many of us stand up for the National Anthem? I have observed that around half of us do not seem to care to do so. Is that not an insult? We dance to Vande mataram in a changed tune, completely forgetting that it is the National Song! We show scant respect for our national flag! We insult our motherland by our disgracefull behaviour abroad! AND after that make these oh-so-sanctimonious comments... sickening is what it is

In short, who cares? No one, sadly...

Kale, your notion is wrong. Everybody stand up during playing of National Anthem in any function. The basic thing is that whenever it (insult) becomes public, it must be paid by the mistaker. There is no way to escape.

Quashed Order
by sumukh hungund on Aug 14, 2007 11:48 AM  Permalink  | Hide replies

Honurable court should not have quashed the order. Everyone knows about the statement made by Mr.Murthy. It really sends a wrong signal from the judiciary especially when the question of National anathem issue is concerned.

Why should Murthy struggle so much and waste his energy on such rubbish issues created by dirty fools to gain popularity?

If you receive any summons from the Court, you too would do the same. Other option was to appear before the lower Court who have no powers like that of High Court to dismiss a case summarily, which means attending courts for years.
