No one must always think unbiassed.What these people were doing when lakhs of hindus were displaced and killed in Kashmir. These people are not even interseted in muslims but only in publicity.

this is again vote bank politics by congress for keeping muslim happy.they forgot that the mumbai riots (even all riots in India)were started by muslim only. congress has to paid heavy price in the next elections since hindu will unite this time and thrown out congress from not only from maharashtra but also from center.

Please remember the riots took place under a Congress Regime at the State as well as Central Level.Also at that time [as always] the Muslim sympathy was with the Dawood Gang. Muslim Terrorists/Smugglers actively assisted by police Curruption under Congress rule combined for Rioting and killing. I am a muslim too. I am not an extremist. And I know many muslims who are not. Similarly I know many Hindus who do anti national activities. The whole point is Extremism has nothing to do with Religion. Muslims are not getting proper education and the extremist are brainwashing them in the name of religion. So all the indians need to unite and find out the route cause of this problem and resovle it. If you dont have anything to eat, you get distracted and do anything. You lose the power of thinking. Else few years down the line, we will have two groups killing each other and this will kill our booming economy. Give this a thought guys without taking sides.

Dont call TEESTA Setalvad types as Human Rights Activists.They are out to make money at internationl Forums using the Minority as a showpieces. these commercially-minded crooks should be ignored.
If re-opening the case means that in the future communal elements like the Bajrang dal, Shiv sena will be cautioned, then the exercise is worth it. If peace can be gauranteed, then all parties must be willing to forget & forgive. The nation can ill afford another carnage & a backlash in the form of bombs & the like. Peace will depend more on the attitude of people like Bal Thackeray who only sees a demon in any thing thats primarily non-Maharastrian & of course non-Hindu. In the 70's he drove away south Indians irrespective of caste or creed. His nephew tried it with the north Indians but had to quickly back track as Northi's proved a different kettle, un-like the meek guys from the south.
