Communism
by C.V.RAMAN IYER on Aug 13, 2007 12:38 PM  Permalink  | Hide replies

Biggest threat to India is Naxalism, totally
under the charge of Communist parties. Recent
article by ex IB offcer reveals that. they are
well entrenched. One day they will strike massively. Ideally, BJP should join Congress
and rule the country. No opposition at all on frivolous issues ?

Sub Kutch China
by Aadi Manav on Aug 13, 2007 12:37 PM  Permalink

The left politics involved its tilt tottally towards China. They are opposing the nuclear deal just for the sake of opposing USA. Had the nuclear deal bing signed with Russia ,the left wouldn't have opposed. Their oppose is opportunistic and thus against the interest of the nation. The left parties are best suited to be airdropped in the Taliban dominated areas of Afghanisthan & Pakistan.

PM should ignore Left....
by Kamal Bhardwaj on Aug 13, 2007 12:36 PM  Permalink

The PM should ignore the objections of Left because they are baseless and have been made for the sake of making it. They do not have guts to withdraw support as they know very well the poor situation they are already in Bengal.
This deal has not been made in one day. It has taken two long years with much deliberations done from both sides and feedback from eminent scientists. Therefore, its in public interest to accept this agreement ignoring the fact which party did it. If Congress does a good job, then it also deserves an applause. Aren't we also throwing enough brick bats at them for every opportunity they give us. Common guys lets be open minded.

Kaum Nashts and their politics
by rajiv mahajan on Aug 13, 2007 12:34 PM  Permalink

Let us not fool ourselves. Left is playing the Chinese game of not letting India go beyond them. And SP is playing the Paki game of destroying India. The trouble is that in a fractured polity, 25 % of anti-nationals can hold the country to ransom though the 'Lok Sabha' and get away with it. Moral of the story is elect ONE PARTY

What the Left should do
by Chakravarthy Muralidhar on Aug 13, 2007 12:33 PM  Permalink  | Hide replies

I have no faith in the Left parties having any real concern for India. They have never respected this country nor have any sense of belonging. They are a blood sucking class who thrive on the proliferation and continued gullibility of the poor class. However, since Rediff believes in providing some sane counsel to this reactionary political group in the spirit of inclusion of all in this debate, here are some pertinent queries they should raise on the 123 Deal: 1. Why is India reconciled to being called a non-weapon state by the US despite India having the conventional as well as thermo-nuke weapons with requisite delivery systems? Why is the govt agreeing to limit all nuke development efforts despite the nation having acquired all the technology and expertise by own effort and resources? India being a democratic country with 4 times US's and 1/6th world's population, how can US dictate terms with regard to its strategic concerns? Having spent massively on nuke development entirely on our own, why is the govt now surrendering our leadership position in advanced nuke technology? Why is govt not reviewing our 3-phase nuke development and examine the possibility of accelerating FB programme instead of becoming dependent on foriegn supplies of natural uranium? Can't we put our resources into FB reactors and go to thorium cycle much earlier than originally envisaged? This way we can obviate the need for getting enmeshed in 123 Deal and keep our nuke endeavour totally free.

Nuclear Deal and Drama by Left and NDA.
by ramky on Aug 13, 2007 12:25 PM  Permalink  | Hide replies

Nuclear deal is an acceptance of fact that we could not achieve much in advance science and tecnology.
We are afraid of directly accepting the truth and facts. As usually N deal is the way we accept them.
In such a situation the deal should be welcomed.
Left should come out from the collision if they did not know any thing by remaining part of UPA.
Or stop doing nautanki and play healthy role of a ruling partner.
NDA should come out with specific objections abd sort out them with UPA.
It is our wish that at the age of 60 we should be objective, sincere, honest and purposeful to live lively.

N-deal: What should the Left do?
by damodaran mohan on Aug 13, 2007 12:24 PM  Permalink  | Hide replies

Dr. MMS is absolutely right. enough is enough. the UPA should not wait for the LEFT to act as the time has come for the UPA to act and not the LEFT who have only brought bad name to UPA govt even if they had sustained it for three yrs. i don't think the arrangement can work like this any longer with credibility. it is better, the UPA part company with the LEFT once and for all even if it comes to sitting in the opposition after the election.

Correct! The left has no responsibility of running the nation but has all the power. For them China is important and not this country. This is very unfair.Manmohan has to carry all the burden and the left enjoy the joyride.Enough is enough.

Who proposed the OBC reservations? Left or COngress?

Who proposed 'Minority Reservations', Left or Congress?

Those two issues brought bad name to UPA.
Its not just Left alone, both Congi-Left should be blamed.
