Yes the PM is right, enough is enough. The left is behaving so cheap to cover up their ugly faces in kerala, Bengal . It is high time we need to think more openly. PM should not bend to left'e pressure.

IF IT IS REALLY A GOOD DEAL NOT AFFECTING THE NATIONAL INTEREST IN THE INTERNATIONAL LEVEL THEN THE PM SHOULD GO AHEAD WITH THE PROPOSAL JUST IGNORING THE LEFT OR FOR THAT MATTER ANY PARTY'S THREAT ON THIS ISSUE. NO ONE HAS THE SUPERIORITY TO CURTILE ANOTHER'S POWER FOR THEIR SELF-INTEREST. NO ONE IS ABOVE THE NATIONAL INTEREST.
IT WOULD HAVE BEEN BETTER IF THIS COULD HAVE BEEN DISCUSSED EARLIER AND GAINED THE CONFIDENCE OF ALL THE PARTIES INCLUDING THE OPPOSITION. AS AN INTELLECTUAL THE NATION HAS CONFIDENCE ON THE PRESENT PM THAT HE WILL NOT COMPROMISE NATIONAL INTEREST.

There are opposing views against the deal from the scientific community. Given the history of the earlier deal (when US stopped fuel supply and we had to source from Russia and France), there is a likelihood that we may be under indirect political pressure in future which may compromise our National Security/Interests.

Leave alone the Left.. all political parties in India carp whenever the Ruling party goes ahead with a "Deal".

It would have been better if a commitee representing various eminent bodies of our Nation were formed to arrive a decision on the deal.

As ordinary citizens, nothing much is "left" in our hands now except to "wait and watch"...

Nuclear deal
by prithipal bhatia on Aug 13, 2007 01:26 PM  Permalink

Comrades are making fool of people. The are against disinvestment of public sector, pro reservation for muslims, support inefficiency,do not want to import latest technology, pro indiciplened trade union in industry, neither support India to go for nuciear test nor sign aggreement with US.In short, they are interested tosee India to remain poor, backward, and inefficient,so that they can continue fooling people and rule this country.

Nuclear Deal
by r s on Aug 13, 2007 01:24 PM  Permalink

Opposition to this deal is straight way antinational and perhaps being made for opposition sake only.SP has got no moral,so is the case with other smaller parties opposing the deal.BJP was expected to behave more sensibly, but of late, they have also started to show their real color.Perhaps they have not forgotten the loss of power, which was hastened due to their own folly.Trouble is this that no politician thinks in long term.So far as CPM is concerned anything which is good for India's progress is bad for them, specially when it is denounced by China.People should not forget 1962,when CPM came into existance only by not supporting India against China. They never considered China as aggressor. They were rather happy at that time that if China takes over India they will have a chance to rule over India. They never want India to be a developed country.

Left (out) parties....
by nitin gupta on Aug 13, 2007 01:23 PM  Permalink

The left (out) parties are seeing this as an opportunity to come in to the limelight..

if they had meekly accepted the deal then all credit would have gone to the congress. now atleast people know who the leftists are.. and there are some left parties existing!!

This shows the narrow minded selfish thinking of the idiotic, old fashioned, draconian and obsolete commies... we should all get rid of them in the next elections if we want a smooth road to progress.. otherwise we will all go into reverse gear and regress instead of progress...

What these impotents can do?
by phani sai on Aug 13, 2007 01:22 PM  Permalink

We cannot expect any action oriented objection to 'Deal'.All that they do is a high rethoric devoid of any real intention to stop the so called 'anti people agreement'as called by them.
They have become impotents. They don't have the guts to take any hard action on these socalled'Anti People Govt'.The Manmohan has already expressed his view on the Left that Barking Dons seldom bite.Poor fellows let us pity them !
