OK U dumb ass - Try to send one of the kid 5 years and younger to USA without passport or VISA let us see about compassion!!! Looks like U have US VISA- try this and see what happens,
Indian are not known for compassion but their Smell and cheap activities, Check anywhere in US workplaces - Indians are famous for smell and for Worshiping some millions of animals as gods
It is the Duty of the airline company to check all required documents .Lufthansa should have checked if they were carrying a valid India Visa just because of their mistake the family had to suffer .I feel bad for the lady and her daughter but When it comes to immigration they have to be strict .Trust me if an indian passport holder had gone to the U.S without a valid visa they would have first grilled him with questions for hours and then they would have deported him .I think the famil should sue lufthansa as the carrier is suppsoed to check the documents (if they did not do an online checkin in that case they accept that they have all the required documents).
I don't know why the immigration authourities are so strict at Kolkata airport when everyday hundreds or thousands cross the bangladesh border illegally everyday even without a passport. Some illegals come temporarily for shopping or visting other permanent illegals . Others come with the express purpose of settling down. I am now in saudi arabia and am acquinted with many bangladeshis here who had often crossed into India illegally when they were in Bangladesh. If required I can give their names

It is the duty of the immigration officials to check the validity of the documents that each individual carries with them. There cannot be any exceptions as they cannot judge people based on age, color, creed, religion whatever it be. Though a little bit of common sense and discretion has to be applied in cases, they need to ensure their duty in the strictest sense. I believe the same would have happened anywhere else as well, but please report those as well, be it United States, UK, Australia whatever it be.

Are you stupid....Idian idol is open forum and I personally appreciate these young boys and girls talent....I wish if I too can sing like them....Ankur your way of thinking is still an ankur....grow up..............
Not sure if Immigration dept wanted to set an example or what, but they have been correct. In the same situation as the girl we also may cry, but still the officials are correct. I wonder, when her father not able to send the passport with visa, what type of work he is doing!! This is the height of irresponsibility for the parents. Above that they expect the law to bend for them? Why yaar? if law has to bend, then why people should carry their passports? And imagine what type of value their passing to the child? She will learn to underestimate India from this age, where as he parents actually indian beggars in america have delivered the child in america so that she will get american citizenship. This type of people should not be treated as NRIs at all. They are foreigners and treat them as foreigners. Law dows not bend. and all the people here, who are saying, India is corrupt, then it is because of people like you do do not take responsibility.
Americans call us 'Aliens' and they wouldn't have treated us any different if we were landing in the US without a valid visa. You are not an Indian citizen so back off from commenting about Indian immigration laws. Your daughter was refused entry because of lack of proper documents and not because she posed a threat. I'm sure if you were travelling to the US, you wouldn't dare forget your documents, would you? You think India is easy in such matters? If you cannot respect that, stay in your own country of adoption and eulogise their ways but don't bad mouth another country (which might have been your motherland at one time).
Rediff, if you have any respect for our country stop publishing such articles

not well said, at all. israeli immigration would never mistreat a jew, specially a female jew, regardless of anything.neither would the german immigration d it to a german orgin person from other country. india is a natural homeland for the hindus - or should be. it is clear india rather have zillions of illegal bangladeshis (who can't be deported by indian legal system) than a 12 year old pretty hindu girl to whom india means so much, and most likely would do something for india in usa. quite apparently the hindus in india are happy to go down the path to drain.

looks like U worked in immigration of Israel and Germany, when did gujjus change the profession from grocery stores to immigration in a foreign country???
(1)I appreciate Immigration Dept. did their job properly for the first time...that is why it is appearing here...I expect them to perform their job honestly and diligently everytime irrespective of status of individual.... (2) I do understand it is not a mistake of 12yr old child....it is mistake of irresponsible parents...first they took Indian administration lightly....and then to hide their mistake they are projecting 12yr. old child in front !!! I advise any irresponsible person are suppose to go out of their town....and really it is a good lesson to all those NRI who thinks by becoming NRI they are suppose to get special treatment..
All educate / matured people must give respect to law of land.....

Indian govt officials are sick to the core. When they cannot catch a terror suspect, a spy or knowingly allow politicians to do human trafficking...where is their efficiency?? They can try their tricks only on ordinary human beings. Really sick characters...
