Dear Sir, I do't agree with the views of some Govt.official that 123 agreement with U S would not effect INDIA's foreigen policy. It will,for India's fortune is being placed at the desposal of US through this agreement. Nation wants to know .What interest Dr. Manmohan has to sign this deal even at the cost of 100 crores interest? Why? Whole country knows that he is a just puppet and dare not to take such a risk. Then shall it be taken that it is his master,who wants to compromise our national interest? It is not a question of money ,which our nation has to pay to US,but the US pressure which would be accepted under threath of this economic loss.I am afraid that our changed relation with Iran or with other Muslim Countries under pressure of US,will spiol political situation at home and will cause upheveal in our country. Soniaji think and stop your FATHWA issued for Dr. Singh. Always remember ,it is INDIA,where real power rests with people.By keeping yourself out side Cabnet/Govt,you can not escape responsibilities for mortgageging the National's interest and people's freedom through this agreement. I am sure after next election there would be people's court ,where all the connected people have to answer,Why did you mortgage their hard earned freedom? THINK FOR I WAS NEVER WRONG IN MY CALCULATIONS IN THE PAST.
I dont buy the theory that it will not alter India's foreign policy. It will limit India's potential to influence the global community in her interests.This deal is made to drag India into the NATO like organization in Asia led by the US which the US wants to create.To do this the US is using "China threat" card to create this millitary alliance to undermine the role of NAM contries in Asia. Actually there is no China threat as it is still a developing country and there are many things for Chinese to fix at home. So, it is a grand deal guided by the grand National Strategy of the US.The US has already given indication saying that India has to ask the US before doing anything with Iran. In diplomacy, these words are enough to understand the US intention. If India says no to the US,Bush is there to punish. After 20 years US will use "India threat" card and isolate India. You guys forgot? How dear was Bin Laden to America during the 80's? When the Soviets are gone, Laden was deserted then and there. So, please dont forget that US does not love India rather it loves to use India for its purpose.
US is not the enemy. Chin-Pakistan are. The problem is US is myopic when it comes to Asia. They do not understand Asia and assume that asians will bow down to their empire. Well we are not europe. US in my opinion has very little credibility when it comes to an anti-china alliance. they are in debt big time to the Chinese and are big time traders with the chinese. Finally all the pakistani generals are whetted by the americans and have their blessings. If people do not remember a lot of khalistani terrorists were trained in the US / western capitals. So any agreement with the US must be realistic. All this democracy crap does not work with the US since they are more "White Supremecist" as opposed to true democratists.
Who will benefit from this nuclear power - will the Americans give the technology away just like that?!! No way - they will see if it benefits them first! I foresee Karnataka to be the first beneficiary of nuclear power. It is so obvious that Bangalore with its millions of programmers really deserves uniterrrupted power. USA will bomb Iran to stone age very soon. All the pieces are already there. India needs to be in the right side of all issues. President Bush already stated long ago "either you are with us or you are against us".
India certainly made the right choice. Will the alliance with USA, India will see unprecedented prosperity. It is already a Trillion $ economy with USA being the most important trading partner and investor.
