We are not born as Hindus or Muslims or christians. We are born as human beings and then as Indians. Can we the younger generation put an end to this cancerous growth in the society which is that of communalism and think as independent rational human beings. religions do not preach hatred and not all ( more than 90%) religious people hate other religions. it is the problem of few politicians, religious agents and some misguided janata, who do not understand the cost and consequences of such hatred.

If you can convice me tomorrow that Hinduism offers me spiritual bliss, I will convert to Hindhuism which I repect a lot. That is my right. So what is the need for advising people? Let it be decided by individuals. No one can covert another saying bad things about Hinduism. If there is such a coversion, I do hate it.

I don't agree with this hypothesis. Most riots are not instigated by Hindus and unfortunately for muslims, since Hindus outnumber them by 8 times - they end up paying a heavy price for hot-headedness of some of the fanatics amongst them. A riot is not act of terror - it is a fight between two groups in which one party ends up winning. It is important therefore not to find who killed whom because that maybe an act of self defence - proactively or reactively - but to find out who threw the first stone. While running down Babri Masjid was not a great idea but at the same time no muslim was killed, the Bombay riots started after Hindus got killed in Bombay by muslims as per all available records. After that happens - its mayhem and no one will know who killed whom.

I completly agre with Mr.Anurag. If Mumbai riotes are orgainzed by Hindus then how come some hindus killed? Maxium riotes started by Musliums,then olden days hindus used to keep quite, so less muslium killed, nowdays Hindus are orgainzed so more more casulaities on Muslium side. Communial riotes are there before even RSS came to picture, that is the resion RSS formed. But who will teach these lessions to my secular Muslium brothers and so called secular Hindus?

You definately need some lessons in History. however, do not refer to INIDAN history books because they are biased like the Indian judiciary. a person making available her car is sentensed to life whereas a person possessing weapons like AK 56 is given 6 years. further, there is hue and cry in this very educated and intellectual society to reduce the punishment or even release SANJU.

The Shiv Sena leader was not carrying an AK 56 - AK56 is a weapon of terrorism. The leader was carrying a revolver which is at worst a weapon of crime and a person carrying a pistol cannot be charged with pistol can be charged with terror only if he is carrying it assassinate a leader. AK56 is a weapon which causes mass casualty and hence even possessing it is an act of terror. You must get the context right.

I never said that agp - Hindus never start a riot nor do they practice violence. Acting in self defence is not rioting. Also majority of muslims are not interested in rioting but when some fanatics amongst them start violence - the majority of muslims do not do enough to stop them. The key lesson is not about being a muslim or a Hindu. The key lesson is - if you are in a minority - you must behave yourself and do not attempt force your views on the majority. Its sheer foolishness. You must not beg but contribute. You should help solve problems and not creat new ones through fanatic behavior.

Some people never learn and the blinkered and myopic leadership (?) of Congress is one of them. They went all out of the way to appease Muslims in UP. What was the result? Congress was routed. In Gujarat, during last election Congress leaders including BJP renegades went to the extent of wearing caps and even made some obsucre mulla issue a fatwa to Muslims to vote against BJP. What happended? Congress was mauled badly. In the subsequent municipal corporation elections in Gujarat, muslims voted for BJP!! They think the people are fools? If they wanted to take action on Sri Krishna commission, what took them so long?
